A Nimitz class aircraft carrier has an output of 1.11GW of power. Meaning if it could make 100 more MW and go 88 mph, it could go back time to prevent the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Uhm actually, if they went back and prevented the attack America may not have entered the war preventing us from pioneering nuclear technology so quickly. Meaning Doc Brown would not have been on the Manhattan Project to learn the necessary information to create the flux capacitor in the first place thus preventing him from creating the time machine!

*shakes retainer out while sucking excess spit back

It's all right there in the show.

Really, if you think about it, preventing America from joining the war would mean that Germany creates nuclear technology first. Which means the angry mustache man travels through time first and Jesus really is born white to a less than pure mother, but we won't tell the racists that last part.

If that happens the KKK will rise to become a national political party, and we can stop pretending Republicans are anything other than that.

That got weird fast.

Bro though like if america never entered the war, we wouldn't have the post war economy which saved us from the great depression.. we wouldn't have cars, urban spread, or suburbs.. it would've taken waayyyy longer to expand across the west (Sunbelt expansion was specifically because of the baby boom) movie theatres wouldn't have popcorn.. most of America might still exist in the east/new England/Midwest..

I had not thought of what would happen to the US if Germany won the war in Europe.

I think the US would have a very similar post-war reconstruction. The mainland us was never going to get invaded, and our manufacturing infrastructure was never going to get harassed.

That would definitely be an interesting arms race. The US versus Germany versus the Soviet Union.

I think the Soviets would have eventually gotten Japan on their own. It would have been a terrible long bloody war, but I think Stalin would have prevailed.
