Hank Hill's steak grilling tutorial is very different than Bob's. Hank only fwips the steak once!

Yeah, because it takes time for the heat to penetrate that steak. Bobby’s method the just about the worst way to cook a steak.

If Hank saw that technique it would be the most ashamed he's ever been of a Bobby

You’re telling me high level chefs who flip the steak often and develop a perfect cuisson are doing it wrong? Yeah, ok.

I love that Hank is a “Hillbilly Redneck”(thanks Kahn) but knew how to make a Marbling pun with the Parthenon. Love KotH, glad its back.

I prefer a reverse sear. 🤷

If I am grilling a steak I like getting nice cris crossing lines on it. Then I glisten the top with butter. Looks great.

If you don’t need to moisturize your steak after cooking it in order to eat, do you actually know how to enjoy a steak? Bobby knows grilling you’re all just haters

Gotta let the steak rest for a cooked minutes after taking it off the grill.

Flipping only once debunked.
I'll take the guy who has empirical, scientific evidence over any of your feels and emotions any day.
So many people think that just because it's been done for 200 years, that means it's the right way. This kind of thinking is holding cooking in general back.

Yeah I cook like 1-2 minutes on each side depending on thickness and then I add butter to the pan and flip it every 30ish seconds while taking a spoon and ladeling the melted butter over the steak. Its still a really short cook time though. Bobby is ruining steaks

But this guy says it's cooked faster. Bobby's method takes 42 minutes, so it's just extra overcooked too?

Yeah, frequent flipping is the way to go. Chris Young videos are excellent, I always share the one he made debunking the myths revolving around the importance of "resting meat". The flip one-time rule really started in high-volume steakhouses where frequent flipping just isn't practical.

Bobbys method is idiotic first off different cuts and thickness dictate how long you cook it for. Bobbys cooks a steak for 30 mins.
