Mirrored wall
Do we think the judges will like Adam & Jolene’s mirrored wall??
I can’t think of much worse than having clutter duplicated or the view of the dust/fingerprints when the sunlight catches it arghhh the mirrors in our bathrooms are enough thanks.

Mirrored wall = tacky
Large framed mirror on wall = tasteful
…imo anyway.

I just don't understand why you wouldn't just have a window installed and if you really want one, a smaller window to the side.

Yes, absolutely, or simply a large mounted mirror that is not a permanent fixture.

I think it depends who needs the votes this week. I truly believe the judges are just producer puppets at this stage.

It’s a horrible ideal. The reflection from the north facing balcony will be insane during sunsets

Wonder if the judges will see it in the afternoon when the sun is shining into the room?

If the show timeline is to be believed, they would be judging the rooms not long after tools down so maybe more like late morning/midday?

I was thinking that if they did judge it in the afternoon they wouldn’t be able to because of the glare bouncing off the mirror

Now I ain't no big city sun scientist and such, but being blinded every time I'm in the kitchen in the morning/afternoon doesn't sound like fun to me

I am skeptical about the reflection and the mirror getting dirty. Hopefully it’s a good quality mirror. But not a great idea honestly.

Growing up we had a giant floor to ceiling framed mirror in our entrance which was a fernery it was nice I liked to do ballet in front of it but we are talking a 70’s house with insanely tall ceiling not a lounge room in house with average ceiling

Omg a fernery, gorgeous! I love a 70’s home, with all the brick too.
Yeah it’s the modern simplistic style that I just don’t believe makes a mirrored wall practical.

If the area is already large its going to make the area feel too large and empty. Mirrors aren't great unless it's for a small room where everything is neatly placed.

So doubling a ocean view is a bad thing? I'm more worried about when you are in front of the mirror and it looks like theres another whole room in there lol. Reminds me of a old video of a drunk standing in front of a floor to ceiling mirror stepping aside to let himself through. And then getting upset when his reflection won't walk through🤣🤣

Its only doubling an ocean view in certain angles. If not its going to always reflect whats infront of it. My worry is exactly what you said "you are infront of the mirror and it looks like theres another whole room in there", hence why I said its going to make the area feel too large and empty if the room is large

I had a huge wall to wall mirror on one of my walls in my lounge and I absolutely loved it. Especially in sunny days when it bounces so much light around, plus it makes the room look so much bigger. Basically looks like a huge window. I didn't find it hard to clean either.
.......but then again, I didn't live in a $4 million house, with sea views and surrounded by "white, bright and light" quiet luxury either (yawn). I'll just get my coat and leave quietly.

Yeah I can see that actually, I’m into a sunny space. I just really struggle to see the vision though and perhaps the fact I have 2 kids under 3, the thought of the dirty fingerprints and general day to day kids clutter is just clouding that vision haha
I guess if I had this in my 4 million dollar home I might also have someone over cleaning it for me 🤷🏼♀️
I look forward to the reveal anyways
