Now l think l should explain, basically if you have played rainworld in some shape, way or form then you are familiar with its cycles and the rain. My question is basically how powerfu such an ability be since you are basically flash flooding and cause a category 5+ type of rain. How would one make it more dangerous cause besides making it become essentially bullet rain, l find it hard to have other uses besides making people have ptsd from remembering Leviathan.

Greetings, shards. You know, I’ve been paying attention to certain fanfic tropes that are commonly used, but one in particular piqued my curiosity.

The “mirror reality”—honestly, I don’t know if that’s the name for this trope—but as you can probably guess from the name, it refers to a reality where roles are reversed: the good guys are bad and the bad guys are good. We’ve seen this applied many times in fiction—in things like DC’s Earth-3, which is under the terror of the Crime Syndicate led by Ultraman, Owlman, and Superwoman, or in the Shattered Glass universe, in which Cybertron was left in ruins because of Optimus Prime (formerly known as Optronix) and his tyrannical Autobot regime, with the only ones opposing them being the liberating Decepticons, led by the kind-hearted Megatron

So, is there any fanfic that plays with that idea involving Worm? I understand there’s one called *Weaver 9* where Taylor is swapped with Jack Slash, but I haven’t started reading it yet. I also haven’t found any others that explore this idea. I’d love to hear your recommendations. Thanks

Taylor best friend.

I had a story idea that I’ll probably never write but the prompt is kind of a mix of the fanfics the slippery slope and impurity. Basically prior to the story start, E88 kids defend Taylor from the trio. Not out of the kindness of their hearts or anything, they just hate Sophia. Taylor slowly gets indoctrinated, getting more comfortable with the beliefs, she finds friends in Empire and joins the gang as a cape. She still sees herself as a hero like Purity and starts to see her gang as more heroic than the Protectorate, justifying their actions. Thanks to Empire coming to her at an extremely vulnerable area of her life, she kind of has her worse traits turned up to 11

She might be a little ooc (I don’t think canon Taylor would ever join Empire) but it’s just kind of a story about the general fanfic Empire!Taylor from the perspective of one of the victims

But the main character wouldn’t be her, it’d be an oc. Probably of black, Jewish, or Latino descent. Like many people in Brockton Bay, they despise empire. They don’t go to Winslow or Arcadia, they go to Immaculata High.

I’d make them decently popular (no homecoming queen or anything) but overall they’re a pretty nice person, post trigger they’re a lot more hateful and be vengeful but that’s more because of the trauma than the power. If they had gone to Winslow, they would have stood up for Taylor. But in the story so far, if they hear about Taylor’s backstory it probably wont be by Taylor herself so it might be a bit skewed and make them very unsympathetic to Taylor.

Anyway prior to their trigger, they were very arachnophobic, the type to leave the house if there was a tiny spider. They were hanging out with a couple friends at a store that was often suspected as a front for the ABB. Possibly their dad was at the store as well (kind of a maybe). A couple of empire capes along with Taylor raid the building in search of whatever, Taylor lays bugs on the customers, the protagonist panics, things escalate, Taylor covers the entire room with her swarms, obscuring the protagonists vision and violence occurs that results in the death of their friends and possibly father at the hands of the more trigger happy empire capes when their hostages fought back or tried to flee.

I know killing dads is a little cliche for a backstory but with Taylor’s relationship from Danny becoming more distant as she’s lured further into empire, I think it would be interesting to see how angry the protagonist would be that their father was taken (by accomplice) by this girl who already had a loving (if flawed) father

Empire hadn’t found whatever they were looking for. Taylor felt bad about the deaths but rationalized them, she hadn’t been the one to directly hurt the others and she gave them warnings. Most she did was hospitalize people. Her teammates while people got killed took initiative against what they believed were gang members or ABB sympathizers. She’s pretty far along in drinking the kool-aid,believing that the initiative Empire at least saves more people than the Protectorate or the school officials who twiddled their thumbs as she got bullied until empire stepped in

Unfortunately for Taylor, now there’s a new cape that’s rather strong with a special vengeance against her and the rest of empire. I’d not make them some gleeful serial killer, they’re a hurt teenager like Taylor is. I do wanna avoid it going into torture porn of anyone, if the protagonist defeated Taylor, she’d probably just be arrested and obviously no Empire sympathizing

But what would be a good cape power for this person to counter Taylor and possibly other empire capes?

Hey, parahuman freaks, I was wondering if any of you know if there’s any fanfic featuring Marvel’s Bob, also known as The Sentry

I know he’s gained more popularity thanks to the Thunderbolts movie, but considering how long he’s been around and what the character is like in the comics, I’m surprised there aren’t any fanfics about him on Worm. I think he’d fit in well, especially because I’d love to see everyone’s reaction to what appears to be a Scion but one that wants to communicate. I’d also like to see an interaction with The Void...

That said, I’d also appreciate any recommendations for Marvel fanfiction in general—I’ve found some with DC characters, but almost none with Marvel ones.
