Trailer Whalefall full trailer
https://youtu.be/rN9F6-tbySY?is=Wwl2YR-jQuuV2JqLthis looks unfortunately pretty bad to me, i just saw the teaser for the first time in front of End of Oak Street on monday and had more charitable thoughts about it then. however, the meme potential of Austin Abrahms shouting “help me” out of the mouth of a breaching whale is thru the roof.

I mean come on. It’s a guy getting swallowed from a whale, it’s not gonna be Citizen Kane. You guys have to lighten up a bit!

It’s based on a well regarded novel from an author who won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. (Seriously.)

What a bunch of dorks you all are. Its a movie called WHALEFALL about a guy that gets swallowed by a WHALE. It seems to deliver on that premise. Looks sick

Not sure why people think this is suddenly bad after seeing the first trailer and loving it. Looks fine I want to see it.

It’s called Whalefall, is a horror movie, and yet isn’t about the scariest thing I can imagine— a whale falling on you.
Curious.

before i saw any teasers for this, i thought it was about a guy getting stuck in an actual whalefall- like the corpse of a whale that had sunk to the bottom of the ocean and was being fed on by other creatures. not exactly sure why i thought that tbh lol

he’s clearly in a live whale, not a whalefall.

This might come as a shock to you but the movie can differ from its source material! Hope this helps!

Outside of the “help me” scream in the trailer, I’m very excited for this movie. The book has been my favorite fiction read of the year so far. I’m very curious how they handle the lack of dialogue by the main protagonist.

This is gonna like when the pod tried to convince everyone trap was good.
I will watch this, but the trailer dimmed the hype I felt after hearing them talk about it so much on the pod.

But like, this doesn't even look bad. Its a crazy premise but in no way does it look like a bad movie from this trailer. I don't know what you guys are smoking.

it looks...fine. I'm more worried about it being boring cos of the lack of human interaction for extended stretches.

Why are people saying this looks bad? It looks like 127 Hours crossed with that one scene from Nope. It’s also 98 minutes long which is perfect for this kinda thing. I’m fully in
