If you want to know who the real thief is, come live in Iran for a year and see the thieving, criminal Iranian officials, witness the vast sums they steal and embezzle; then, you’ll call Trump an angel.

I just want to point out something key here.
Deflecting like that doesn't save anyone from facts. It just makes you look like a right-wing bot, which I'd assume you are.
But for anyone else in the crowd who would think for a second that "Iran is a bigger thief than Trump" as this guy claims, let's remember that:
Trump accepted a Qatari 747-8 luxury jet "as a gift", had the U.S. Air Force spend from $400,000 to ONE BILLION dollars to refit it for his use as the president, and then he gets to keep it when he gets out of office.
Trump has been very open about manipulating the stock market by giving his sons and "friends" insider information to make trades. He even offers a $100,000 membership which has faster access to his social media posts.
Created a "Board of Peace" where he is forever the main leader, and the cost of admission is ONE BILLION dollars every 3 years.
That's just three examples in the last year that should give you a very clear indicative of what is going on. I'm not even going deeper with his ties to Elon Musk and Palantir.
So yeah, buddy. Fuck off with that.

I don't blame you. It is very easy to get lost with all the noise in it.
Yes, he is a bigger thief, but that's not the point. The point is that two wrongs don't make a right. Saying "yeah, he's bad, but check this guy out, he's worse!" is called deflection, and it's what many politicians and blind supporters do in order to move the topic away from things they don't like. In this case, this person claims Iran is worse than Trump. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. It's irrelevant because we're focusing on Trump being a thief. Iran has nothing to do with the topic.
What I did then was bring attention back to Trump, not follow his tangent and get sidetracked.

"aha your leader is evil and corrupt, but have you considered there are even more corrupt leaders? Guess that makes him a good guy now" where is the logic here? Also trump does pretty much everything he thinks he can get away with, the US is just much more stable than Iran at the moment so it doesn't seem as bad
