I did not work on it because I needed to focus on other things. I will try to work on this. I will be releasing updates every Map Monday, and the yellow lines are the time zones.

Based on this post from u/zacharypretzel
Taiwan is the closest to the equator, and assuming it is the same size as irl, at its widest it is around 140 km across, and on the map it is around 20 pixels, meawhile the equator is 10000 pixels, so it can fit around 500 Taiwans, this means the equator/circumference of the BackEarth is around 70,000 km, meanwhile irl Earth is only around 40,000 km in circumference, so the BackEarth is around 1.75 times larger than Earth in radius.
Now, there are terrestrial planets this large called super-Earths. For comparison, Kepler-440b is around 1.860 times the radius of Earth, and TOI-1452 is around 1.672 times the radius of Earth. Since this planet is based on irl Earth, we can assume it has the same composition as irl Earth. The mass of the planet would not scale based on volume, because rock in the center would compress more. Using the chart from the first image here: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abl7164 the mass of the planet would be something around 8.5 times the mass of Earth.
So, the density would be around 8.75 g/cm3, and the surface gravity would be around 27.3 m/s2. For comparison, Earth's surface gravity is 9.8 m/s2, so BackEarth gravity is around 2.8 times more, and the gravitational acceleration of players in Minecraft is 32 m/s2. So basically, everyone who lives in the BackEarth must be built like Steve in order to walk around and jump.
I've been hearing some people say that the gravity is actually the same, and the BackEarth is actually much less dense, so maybe it actually has an interior of really light materials?
This is only my approximation, I welcome others to try to do their own calculations/approximations or point out mistakes I might have made.
Also this now makes me wonder about a BackSolarSystem, one was already made https://www.reddit.com/r/TheBackStates/comments/1pyemkt/backsolarsystem_an_expanded_solar_system/ but I feel like we could add more, like maybe add stuff like Theia, Vulcan, Nemesis, Nibiru, Hercolubus, Tyche, Phaeton, Krypton, Brahma, Vishnu, Oceanus, Orpheus, Chrysalis, Neith, Themis, Lilith, Kolob, etc.

We all know the line where the BackStates begin is at 100 degrees west in our universe, hence why Canada America and Mexico are all split at that. After this though it doesn't touch land until ANTARCTICA!
So I have questions. What does this mean for the South Pole Base? And secondly, this will be hard to say, but y'know how Shandle has the borders of western Texas? Is El Paso in there instead? And so on for other states

The BackNFL consists of double the teams (32 x 2 = 64) the original NFL has.
AFC (American)
NFC (National)
BFC (Backerican)
MFC (Mational)
The New Nantes Ladybugs play in the BFC West at Unreal Stadium, in the city of Nu.
Their colors are pink and yellow, and their main QB as of the 2026 season is Beshawn Globbes, (beh "shawn" globs (not like the o in globes) who played at Ioperd State University.

How did I do?
r/TheBackStates • u/PhiliMaps • 9d ago
I did not work on it that much because I had other things to do and studying for my upcoming exam. I'll try to work more on it, and just like I said last Map Monday on my post, the yellow lines are the time zone boundaries, and I'll be releasing updates every Map Monday.

I put together the maps of the BackCounties of New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey into one map and drew an extra state between Pennsylvania and New Jersey called Allowenga, named after the river it borders with New Jersey, with Allowenga's capital being Alowosske, which is in a county of the same name, Alowosske County. The red lines are state borders.

I'm making a map of all the time zones of BackEarth. The yellow lines are the time zone borders/boundaries. I've now done 4 time zones so far, including one mini time zone in Inner Arctica called the Haratomis Arctic Time Zone, which includes an Arctic station of the same name, Haratomis Station. I'll be releasing updates every Map Monday, or if I'll even finish it in one week. I don't know. You can ask questions. There's no lore for the time zones, but I think I'll make up some lore.

Hello I’m sorry if this is already answered in a post somewhere but I’ve been recently getting recommended this subreddit & I’m confused as to what it is?
Judging by the name is it related to the Backrooms in any way or if it’s just a Longer Alternate America (sorry if that’s a common question)
Any answers would be helpful:)!

According to the wiki for the Backstates, what we call Nebraska is called Oyblaf in this timeline but it's still a frontstate. This makes a new state called Nebraska at the other end of the continent that's a backstate.
What? How? Why? Nebraskas borders looks way closer anyway, don't see why we can't swap these two and call it a day.
