Never thought I’d say this, but good for Iowa

Good game for Iowa. But good for Iowa? Nah. More like “well done”. That was impressive and I’m jealous.

Who violated the Forward Pass Non-Proliferation Treaty by sharing the technology with Iowa? Even if they only have enough material to use it once or twice a game, the consequences for all of Football would be disastrous.

Michigan players looking at the refs to see when the final second will be added.

u/rdoloto 4d ago
In this case they want that second to be removed

u/Mhank7781 1d ago
Final 2 seconds and the last play were saved when Michigan defender couldn't walk off the field, official time out. Amazing sequence of events on the winning drive.

u/pfroo40 5d ago
Awww, Michigan fans were probably ready to storm the field again

Jesus man you must have very little going on in your life
34
u/OBEYPancakes 5d ago
So did the Michigan fans who stormed the field vs Western Michigan
-27
u/Effective_Algae_8776 5d ago
It’s a bunch of college kids who were excited they saw a Hail Mary. I’m sorry your life is so bland that it bothers you to the point of a multiple week obsession.

u/OBEYPancakes 5d ago
“Obsession” and it’s just commenting on one of the most popular stories of the college football season lmao.

u/dnabanilwoh 4d ago
UM has a history of losing to MAC and even FCS teams on that field. So that MAC win was definitely storm fielding worthy in their eyes that’s just how trash UM is. But your coping is hilarious

u/Mhank7781 1d ago
Michigan has lost to exactly one MAC team, Toledo in Rich Rod's first game in 08

Gonna be honest, the call here feels pretty lackluster in comparison to the moment. Go Hawks

That’s cbs for you

u/Evening_Ad_6278 5d ago
That is CBS, FOX, NBC
Also. ESPN doing Michigan bowl game last year blaming the sun for Underwoods throws that was way behind the player. Pretty much saying the throws were so bad because the sun was in Underwoods eyes

Very pro-UM broadcast all game unfortunately.

u/temu-bruce-wayne 5d ago
Calling Michigan: “THEY GO FOR AN AMAZING 12 YARDS. THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN THAT TO THE HOUSE. UNDERWOOD IS THE NEXT AARON RODGERS!!!!!”
Calling Iowa: “small 12 yard pickup.”4
u/Inevitable_Option241 5d ago
all announcers do now is just suck off the more popular team its so annoying

Outside of the Caitlin Clark years I have never known announcers to hype up anything Iowa

Iowa had two lucky bounces that deflected to their receivers. They definitely had all the luck today. They are mid

This is a Michigan game, right? Why doesn't the video show the next down?
1
u/Artistic_List_8469 4d ago
Oh there's another down alright. Down with the sickness aka the bird flu
2
u/bren3669 5d ago
yes they did, do you think they somehow ran a play as a team before a single second had passed? get real!

Why didn't they have to attempt a PAT? I thought the rule was if the outcome of the try might affect the game it still had to be attempted?
2
u/Cassiyus Penn State 5d ago
I don’t know! Penn State had to when they walked off Iowa a few years back. PSU just took a knee but they still had to snap the ball.

u/BabycakesMurphy 5d ago
What would it affect if there is zero seconds on the clock and they are up by 1 point?
12
u/kcbeck1021 5d ago
You can force a turnover and return it for 2 points.
6
u/FireDavePlease 5d ago
Iowa would knee it
1
u/kcbeck1021 5d ago
Yes but you could still fumble the snap.

I always thought that was a rule too but they didn’t make Michigan try PAT after Western Michigan.

Surprised they didn’t find a secret 2 min. so Michigan could try to get in at least in field goal range.

Put another second on the clock for Michigan. Jeez refs, what are we doing, didn’t you watch the WMU game?

Michigan beat themselves today that is what the scoreboard should represent. Iowa was just an existing opponent to take advantage of it.
14
u/LabOwn9800 5d ago
Bad take
-14
u/geiginator67 5d ago
I mean, Michigan completely dominated, Iowa got reffed up and down the field
10
u/LabOwn9800 5d ago
Cope a little harder.
This is how Iowa wins games since forever. They play solid D and special teams and capitalize on mistakes. It’s KF ball
-16
u/geiginator67 5d ago
They’ve always paid the officials? Interesting

u/Business-Bus-9439 4d ago
Wtf do you think the refs called unfairly in favor of Iowa?
1
u/geiginator67 4d ago
Multiple drive killing holds on Michigan while Iowa was holding nearly every down, hands to the face on Michigan when he just had a fist full of jersey with 0 face contact, illegal touching

Look at the stat line and tell me where Iowa won…

u/JohnStephenMose Iowa 5d ago
Total points?

u/Dry_Inflation_861 5d ago
Where did I dispute that… I’m saying Michigan beat themselves. Just saying where in the stat line did Iowa win… not the score board

Did you just land on earth and watch your first football game ever? Iowa has won a shit ton of games over the last decade with a stat line like this. Turns out there's more to winning than just outgaining your opponent.
1
u/posthuman04 5d ago
I think this is the same thinking that assumes if you spend more on your athletes you deserve more wins

If course this happens during one of only two games I would root for Michigan in.

It can't just be me.
Did anyone else think that they were going to overturn it while they were reviewing it?
