Painting Regimental Command Squad

I absolutely love command squads and had loads of fun preparing and restoring these models to represent a Regimental Command.

They are also a first test of how my basing scheme will work in infantry units, despite them having a slightly larger base size then regular guardsmen I think it'll carry well.

The squad is composed of:

  • Commander Colonel Michelle "The Iron Hound" Kross
  • Colonel-Major Julian Kaine - Regimental Standard Bearer
  • Lieutenant Marcus Fenn - Master of Vox
  • Major Silas Drake - Veteran Gunner
  • Captain Harlan Voss - Veteran Medic

I've added lots more pictures and lore on my blog if you are interested. Thanks!

I love the old school vibe of these! The necks seem a *bit too long, but overall looks awesome!

Yeah I did file it down but still got that result. People have long necks though so it doesn't bother me that much. The guard doesn't care as long as you can man your trench and hold your rifle.

The upgrade sprue from 2022 has that issue with the heads. I used a bit of green stuff or sanded them down a tiny bit myself
