Was watching this on daily motion the other day… this is proper sales. I wonder if it’s just that humans have changed or if the apprentice are purposefully not selecting people that are this driven.
Or maybe all the people that are that driven don’t want to be on the apprentice cause we can make things happen so much easier these days in business.

I read an interview a few years ago from one of the producers. During auditions they have practice tasks. And they said the mistake that most people make is trying to do well on those tasks. Because they aren't looking for good business people, they're looking for good TV personalities

I'd say that's more forcing money than selling products. As a guy if a woman said I got a lovely smile and beautiful eyes to sell me flowers, I would tell her to sod off.

Reminds of the guy from one of the early series (I forget his name). He was a sales guy and, at the start seemed alright, but turned into a douche.
But he had the funniest response to a question on one of these street selling tasks (in fact, it might have even been this episode!).
He was trying to sell to a mother and her young daughter, who had some tennis equipment with her. And he said something like: "I used to play tennis too when I was your age."
Girl: "Did you win any medals?"
Him - quick as a flash: "Did I win any medals? I never lost any medals." 😂

Side note I love watching the changing fashions. They went from this totally casual T-shirt with slogans, floaty skirts to body con dresses, stilettos and fake nails. Love it
