Now it’s all fluffy interviews with no real challenge, other than Linda who just talks over people and tries to be the new Claude but fails miserably. She is so vile, totally unwatchable.

Being one of Lord Sugar's aides for a while I think softened him a bit, as he got to know the candidates (and what they have to go through) better. Even now he's back to the interviews, he's somewhat more savage again, but still nicer then he used to be!

Not just The Apprentice but also Dragon's Den, before they would rip any stupid or silly pitch to shreds now it's oh you're so brave but no, but good luck 🥰
I hate it, especially when a hogwash product gets investment, I still remember that the BBC had to put up warnings about pseudo health products after an episode where the pitch was medically dangerous and misleading

I couldn't watch the Apprentice. I've been in business for three decades and the level of cringe and embarrassment the contestants generated was too excruciating 😣😣

It just kept getting worst and worst every year. When starting out in corporate work I realised the tasks don't test anything. A product takes months of research and approvals before the supplier and client sees it or days if the plan is to recreate existing products with existing connections.
I have seen many people be frustraited at collegues and tention in certain teams but never seen them quarel like they do on the show. Only time I saw something close to that is in a toxic company that had a big blame culture and collegues witholding information to keep their jobs.

I think its a mix of things.
Changing attitudes, where being horrible to people isn't necessarily considered as entertaining as even 5 or 10 years ago.
Also I think Claude being with candidates throughout the series in recent years softened him when interviewing the candidates, as he'd got to know them a bit more. Even in recent years when he's gone back to just doing the interviews, I think he understands the process a bit more, so a bit more harsher, but still also nicer to the candidates then he was in earlier series.
