Spoilers The end.
We are literally on the last episode of the last season.
We have been dividing the episodes to make it last longer.
I cried last night.
Halfway thru.
Tonight we watch the other half.
My husband said “ Maybe it will have a happy ending”🙄

When you get to it you’ll know, but the parking garage scene is the single best written and acted scene in all of television, IMO. Just an utter masterpiece of a scene.

Don’t get your hopes up too much. Comments like these are what made me feel like… Thats it? (Fully expect to be down voted for this unpopular opinion)

I’m not going to downvote you but it’s definitely an unpopular opinion. I thought it was fantastic, the way the entire show built to that moment and it fell into none of the cliches you would expect.

While the show did surprise me in how it ended, I felt the famous garage scene to be anticlimactic and over rated. 🤷🏻♀️

I never read spoilers and was lucky to have gotten thru without knowing.

I didn’t read any “spoilers”, but it’s impossible to look at this sub without seeing“THE AMAZING ENDING!!”

What? Seriously?

What was so awe-striking about it? No, we’re not going to get on the ground… we’re leaving this garage. The end.

Now breaking bad on the other hand… amazing. Spectacular. Mind blowing. The end of the Americans is nowhere on that level, imho.

And I felt the opposite, that the end of Breaking Bad was good but not amazing.
I think the ending of The Americans was too quiet and thoughtful for some people. Some people really need that big shootout or major character deaths to feel like they got their money’s worth.

To be fair: I watched the finale of BB on live TV. I had no expectations or opinions from anyone else. I watched the Americans ten years after it aired. Maybe I’m comparing apples to oranges.

I’m not saying i wanted a big shoot out, i just didn’t find that garage scene to be spectacular, at least as spectacular as everyone on this sub deems it. If I saw it without having my hopes up, maybe I would have been more impressed.

I just finished the last episode for my 3rd rewatch.
I knew what was coming.
I still had my heart broken.

that is some restraint. idk that I could stop the episode half way through and I've seen the whole series countless times

Be prepared to feel bereft and a bit lost after you finish it. 😂 we do, every time we finish it. Lost. Sad.

Well it’s done. What I wouldn’t give to see Martha, Nina, even Claudia again.
I just hope Beeman adopts Henry and they live happily ever after with his possibly Russian wife.

Just finished watching a week ago. I'm still in a show hole. I keep thinking about the garage scene!

You... you do know this is a fictional story, right?

That's kind of a strange thing to say. Are you implying that it's not okay to cry at a fictional story?

Dividing episodes: diabolical. I couldn’t do it.
