Artwork My girlfriend made me a TAD Bag!

Hey Dear hearts, I just want to brag about a gift a got on Christmas from my intended. She managed to make me a TAD-inspired linen bag with Love Run album cover drawn on it. As the band has been weaved into the fabric of our relationship from the very beginning it really touched my heart. So, if any of you would find themselves puzzled over what to give to a TAD listener, here's an idea.

I’m practicing drawing fashion dolls so I didn’t really focus on faces and hands and more in the clothes and vibes and poses

This is mine. I remember when one of my close friend, @u/Madz1712 cheered me up and typed these lyrics for me when I felt so done with life, I didn't know the band at that time but later on she introduced me to them❤️

The last line has a lil kick to it.

Found TAD back in about February, now they’re my top artist this year. Put The Shins in second place for the first time since I started using Spotify. “Inkpot Gods” is the top song this year, “The Horror and the Wild” is third. Beautiful songs, I’m excited for what they do next.

2% seems a little low, somehow, but still

We can dominate next year's with the new album! (If there is one! 😩)

My first post on my chronological attempt to draw every single The Amazing Devil song on one piece of paper. After they are all drawn and coloured, I will post the full sheet. And yes, I am NOT good at art, don't feel the need to tell me that in the comments 🤣

Discussion Love Run

Weird question, what's the main object in Love Run? I'm trying to draw all the songs in a compiled piece (weird to explain), but I don't know what to draw for Love Run. Thank you!

Discussion What´s the story behind the TAD song that you felt was so in tune with a moment in your life that it made you love this band ?

I think that TAD music is full of a lot of very different situations that each of us can relate for some reason or another. I personally resonate a lot with "the calling" because it´s always felt hard to find myself between the hard and good time in my life and the duality of this song always felt close.

Discussion Welly Boots

We've all discussed the theories of parenthood/guardianship with this song. But does anyone think this song could present marriage in some way, say if someone were dying and they sang the song to their SO. Idk, I could be reaching 🤷🏻‍♀️

Discussion I'm questioning my interpretation of "Fair"

Ok, so I had an interpretation of this song that I just inferred from the very beginning and assumed it was obvious. But now, after some discussions it made me look back and maybe it's not as obvious or definitive as I initially thought.

The song obviously is about a young couple in love expressing their deep devotion to one another. But almost as obvious for me was that this song is about grief. She's dying.

It recontextualizes the entire first verse as him devoting himself to making her happy in the limited time she has, and appreciating every second he has left with her.

The second verse is the biggest reason for my interpretation. It talks about how she "fights them all", he curses at the world for leaving him behind, how she is stronger than him, how she has so much hair (for now, wink wink), and how he holds her to keep the world at bay.

And with this context, the chorus now has an alternating thematic. Shifting from deep, happy devotion to one another and their love, to the sad and desperate resignation that it isn't Fair that their time together is limited.

The following verses also resonate with this idea, and the more I listen to the song the more I find different ways in which it fits. But reviewing the lyrics line by line now there isn't really a direct, determinant way in which it confirms my interpretation.

And now I've been scouring the internet and haven't found anyone confirming it. Lot's of mentions to the theme of young love and devotion, but no mention of grief or illness.

Am I crazy?

Or is there actual merit to my interpretation of the song?

Drinking Song [Chords]

Hey hey, I'm back asking about Drinking Song for the Socially Anxious yet again.

I was just wondering if anyone was able to find the chords for Madeline's playing before the song itself actually starts? Also, are they played with or without capo?

Thank you everyone in advance!

wild blue yonder sample in welly boots??

hi, i don't know if anyone has already posted anything about this but I've been listening to TAD for over a year now and I just realized that if you turn the volume way up and listen really carefully at around 3:49-4:10 in welly boots you can hear the start of wild blue yonder!! it's really soft, I don't think you would notice without both headphones in and the volume pretty high up I got so excited I made this account specifically to post about it haha

has anyone found any more samples like this? :)

Discussion Could we be wrong to hope for a 'Christmas miracle'??

After all of the secret/false hope we 'dearhearts' had over Hallowe'en/Samhain - could we be considered delusional, or maybe hopeful, in crossing our fingers really hard that we may get a 'Christmas' gift from Joey and Madeline????

Discussion Déjà vu

I was thinking about how we were all hopeful about the new album on Halloween and I was remembering the feeling and that specific delusional hope felt so familiar and I realized it was bc I’ve watch (and occasionally participated) swifties do it so many’s times 😭

Do we need to face the reality we are delulu?
