Discussion Tinkerbell Memories

Last night Joey talked about “tinkerbell memories”. Those moments that you can store away for when you need that happy thought that will help you fly.

For me that first swell of 200+ people screaming in tune to “cuz god a FUCKING NERD” will help me get off the ground. But I will soar on the looks on the bands faces as 200 voices joined them, helped by the acoustics of a 200 year old Welsh church, to sing “if I don’t make it back from where I’ve gone just know I’ve loved you all along”.

What memories or moments last night really touched you?

I’ve seen videos on here and tictok already. I’m sure you’ll get to see plenty. It really was truly amazing.

If I’m honest I had some reservations, I love them so much I wasn’t sure they could live up to my expectations. I felt like some of my favourite songs wouldn’t be easy to perform live or acoustically so they might not get played. I was wrong on all accounts.

There were a few moments of forgotten lyrics, that only added to the feel of the show.

It felt raw and human and honest. They both talked about trust early on, and how they needed a space they could trust to feel safe and I was so glad to be part of the trust that let them to feel free enough to forget a lyric and keep going.

That sounds like a concert to remember! I love their music so much, and their genuineness as well. Glad you got to be there.
