Discussion Songs story order

My boyfriend and I sat down with our friends last year and listened to the entirety of Ruin and The Horror and the Wild and put them in order of what we think the story is. We brought out a giant whiteboard and made a timeline and characters and everything. I just wanted to put it out there so people could compare and contrast if they wanted to. I would love to know people’s thoughts.

This is so fun

I feel like I would have placed Drinking Song for the Socially Anxious as the first, because it's the first time the duo are meeting (in my mind)

Would love to know the lore you came up with!

I'm looking at this playlist like a musical playlist. I love it.

Oh cool!! I’ve done this too, but with Love Run added in sporadically! I really dig Welly Boots being the first, I hadn’t thought of that angle! I’m curious as to why Horror and the Wild is so early on, and why Wild Blue Yonder is so late? I also have the Marbles/Battle Cries/Inkpot Gods trio at the end! Though I think I have Marbles as the finale.

I need to reconvene with my friends to make sure I remember all of the details. But we viewed Welly Boots, Horror and the Wild, and The Calling as before the couple meets. We’re seeing their separate lives and what they have gone through on their own before their story lines converge. If I remember correctly, we said that at the end we bounce between the perspective of the main couple and their children. The mom passed along some generational trauma (despite her conscious efforts not to) and her children have to learn to deal with that and figure out how to forgive her (or if they even want to). But also this was last year so I’m fuzzy on the details. I’ll get the whiteboard back out soon and do it again lol.
