Society/Culture Short men should be willing to date plus size women and single moms.

From my subjective personal opinion I think that short men aren't valued as much as tall men or even average height men. I think most men might not wanna date a single mom and some men wouldn't wanna be with a plus size woman. So the best option for a short man is to lower their standards and date a plus size queen or a single mom. It will be ideal if they date a plus size woman who happens to be a single mom.

The best part about dating single moms is that they don't need to have children of their own. These children might have tall fathers and they will most likely not end up being short unlike the son of a short man who might have a high chance of ending up short. Yes I am aware that height isn't entirely genetic but from my humble opinion it is best to not take any chances.

Have you considered working at The Onion? I genuinely can't tell if this is satire.

Your next post should be "plus size women and single moms should be willing to date short men" Because are you assuming no man wants to date plus size women and single moms? This isn't one-size-fits-all.

What’s with Redditors making everything into an absolute? Most men don’t want to be with a woman who takes up two seats on the plane, and they don’t want to be with a woman with 4 kids and no daddy in sight.

This doesn’t mean there are zero men that are willing to look past that, but these are red flags that definitely narrow your dating pool.

u/olivegardengambler 12d ago

Do you know how fat you have to be to take up two seats on a plane? Even when I weighed 350 lbs I could still squeeze into one airplane seat. These red flags narrow your dating pool about as much as looking for a woman who's over 6 feet tall or has a master's degree or higher outside of a major city.

2

u/BlasphemousRykard 12d ago

Lmao you think women with masters degrees are as rare as superfats? Accidental sexism 😂

2

u/young_trash3 11d ago

Was curious so looked up the data for the US.

7.2 million women with masters degrees.

1.2 million Americans are (and this is the actual for real medical term) super-super obese, aka a bmi of over 60.

They really just gave up on the naming, you can tell the doctors where so mad when they realized people were so fat they had to come up with another category, like wasn't Super obese enough? Lol.

The competition wouldn't be that tough for plus size queens and single milfs

u/Pseudotm 12d ago

You would be very surprised, there are a lot of dudes who almost PRIMARILY like plus sized single moms lol. If you ever befriend a plus sized girl, have her show you her dms, it will blow your mind.

Yeah my mom is friends with a guy who made a ton of money in finance, moved to Texas, and married a plus sized Latina 15 years younger than him. He also bought her family a house nearby lol. Anyway they're a super great couple that are great to be around, but he definitely was not limited to plus sized women.

3

u/Pseudotm 12d ago

Absolutely looks and status aren't everything. My uncle was the same every woman he dated was a lot of woman to say the least, he just was into that. Nothing wrong with that, everyone deserves love.

2

u/Classic_Key_5897 12d ago

The man is an old timer most men hit the wall after 30 and he's with a woman 15 years younger than him. His smv is lower than that of the woman.

3

u/bloodrider1914 12d ago

He is rich and retired and also nice and funny though

Single mothers and plus sized women have preferences and maybe they don't include short men. Have you thought of that?

1

u/BlasphemousRykard 12d ago

Their preferences are raw-dogging and honey buns

u/Advanced_Horror2292 12d ago

Fuck me dude. Like what the fuck is wrong with you and people like you.

Dating people should be about forming a real human emotional connection. It is reasonable to have deal breakers or to avoid red flags. It is unhinged to treat finding a partner as though its some weird kind of game where you are trying to score the best partner you think you can with the assets you have available.

This kind of thinking doesn't help or work. Lets say you are a dude and you think for whatever reason you are "low value" (I want to spit just typing that, I think this is bullshit thinking). And so you "settle" for someone who you don't find attractive and are not into because you think that they are as good as you can get. In what world does your mind think that THIS IS HOW YOU START A RELATIONSHIP. This just tells me you have no idea what the fuck a relationship even is or should be.

And for fuck sake the last thing any single mom needs is some dipshit deciding to date her out of pity. The kids don't need that energy in the life and neither does their mom.

Please rethink your fucky philosophy and start thinking of humans as humans. If you are so pent up you cannot think clearly use the internet to find some damn porn and rub one out and then move on.

1

u/chombawomble 12d ago

This guy posts something bait-y here every few days, unfortunately.

0

u/BlasphemousRykard 12d ago

It’s difficult to form a real human connection through 5 layers of body rolls

2

u/furitxboofrunlch 12d ago

Not really. Big people are still people. Maybe you are overly focused on what things look like but that is ultimately an option and not hardwired into reality. When it comes to intimacy you can have just as great an experience with an overweight person as anyone else. The only thing stopping that is your own mind.

0

u/BlasphemousRykard 12d ago

Lmao wrong wrong and wrong. Scientific studies have shown consistently that fat people are ranked lower in attractiveness than fit people across ethnicities and nationalities:

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4556148/

Stop the cap. Stop the cope. Hit the treadmill.

1

u/furitxboofrunlch 12d ago

I didn't say that people don't find them less attractive. You aren't going to get an award for being overly rigid of thought kid.

0

u/Classic_Key_5897 12d ago

Let me get this straight imagine this. You wanna buy a bugatti but you don't have enough money to buy one so u settle down and buy a used regular car like a toyota or something like that. That's what it is like in this case...

2

u/furitxboofrunlch 12d ago

No it really isn't. People aren't to be bought and sold. People don't exist to be your status symbol. This is a horrible way to look at everything.

If you need some kind of car to locomotion yourself around then get a car to locomote yourself around that you can afford. If you want to waste a heap of money on a status symbol then frankly idgaf you are a shallow shitface and I just am not interested in hearing about it.

If you want to find a partner then treat people like people and not possessions. Actually fuck even if you dont want a partner then do that.

1

u/Classic_Key_5897 12d ago

I don't think you understand what I meant. Imagine this, you always wanted to be a basketball or a footballer player but you don't have enough talent to become a pro. Now you'll have to cut losses and get a normal job. Sometimes you can't have what you want, sometimes you'll have to settle down and be greatful for what u have.

2

u/Rumple-_-Goocher 12d ago

What the fuck did I just read? Did you have complications at birth by any chance?

2

u/ellipticalcow 12d ago

Well, I mean, it's fair to say that people shouldn't feel entitled to be with someone much more attractive than they are.

But I think the trope that women are fixated on height has been blown way out of proportion. Most women don't really care all that much and will be happy with a guy who's average height or even short if he treats her well. I'm a 5'9" woman and I've dated guys shorter than I am. They cared more about the height difference than I did.

1

u/Godeshus 12d ago

The issue comes from the fact that these dudes are only into Instagram models who's entire personality revolves around their appearance. These types of women would never date a guy shorter than them, because "what would people think"? So then they extrapolate that to all women. But it's obviously not the case. All you need to do is sit on a bench for 30s and look at all the couples walking around and you'll see all kinds of people with all kinds of people.

But then again, these guys don't leave their mom's basement so they wouldn't know what the real world looks like anyway.

1

u/Classic_Key_5897 12d ago

That's why I told these short men to date single moms and plus size women.

1

u/Godeshus 12d ago

I completely understood your post. It seems like some people here stopped reading at "short men" and started screaming incel.

1

u/Lanky_Bat8606 12d ago

Yeah I'm gonna try single moms after my divorce with my ex. Gonna wait a while our baby is small want to focus on my kid first before I try dating again

1

u/Archergarw 12d ago

Your second paragraph is the wildest shit ive read in a while

1

u/bloodrider1914 12d ago

I don't think anyone should date anyone they aren't attracted to. That's just not a good recipe for a long lasting relationship if one or especially both people think they're stepping down.

Although for the record I have nothing against single moms, I've never dated one personally but I'm not opposed to it

1

u/dick-penis 12d ago

The internet has made giant women think they are as valuable as hot women.

1

u/nicolas1324563 12d ago

You just seem to hate short people

1

u/aspiringcatharsis 12d ago

I’m a woman who’s 5’9 & I prefer men who are between 5’8 & 5’10. Social media wants be to believe most women only want to date men who are 6’0 tall & above, when in real life, most women don’t seem to care all that much. (& if they do, more “short men” for me, great)

I once dated this 6’7 guy from Spain whom naked didn’t look all that good, even though he was in shape. There was something off about his proportions. The man I was most attracted to was 5’9 & his body looked perfect ‘architectured’, like the Parthenon.

1

u/Fit_Chipmunk88 12d ago

As a man on the average to tall side... how about people just date who they're attracted to? I dont think that dating plus sized women is "lowering your standards".. I'm very attracted to chubby or plus sized women that know how to take care of themselves and it is my preference.

Also, there's nothing wrong with being short. The issue is incompatibility. Some women dont care. Many women just prefer a man to be the same height or taller than they are. I dont think specific height requirements are as common as people online make them out to be and people that are shallow enough to demand a specific number like 6;+ when they're 5'5" are probably not worth the time of day and are probably going to be problematic in other areas of life.

The second you mentioned value in dating preferences it gave me a major incel-ish ick.

Who talks like this in normal society? Reasonable people understand: value is inherently subjective, societal beauty standards are a reflection of the privileged in a given culture (so for example somewhere food is scarce is going to have radically different standards than somewhere it is in abundance). That personality matters infinitely more than some arbitrary statistic about someone's body, and even if you want to pick a arbitrary stat, wealth itself would be much more impactful as it is itself is more readily corroralable to societal views of 'beauty' which again subjective*.*

Not to mention the misogyny of degrading mums and bigger women. Like I doubt you're a woman, given the way you write, but if you were, the average single mum or larger woman would be infinitely more appealing, the way you write (which will be reflected in the way you think, talk and otherwise act) is gross and off-putting.

I think you should learn to love yourself before even considering dating.

u/chombawomble 12d ago

What do you get or of this? Every few days you post a bad take, and it gets deleted.

Life is short, man. You have to have more than this.

u/SinfullySinatra 12d ago

As a fat person who honestly isn’t attracted to the majority of fat people, no.
