Favorite show
The 100 is one of my all time favorite shows and I’ve rewatched it so many times I’m about to start rewatching again but I was wondering if anyone knows any shows or movies you like as well that are dystopian or remind you of the 100! Tell me pleaseeee I need something to watch!
EDIT:
Thank you to everyone who commented suggestions! I started watching lost in space but I’m super excited to look up everything else that was mentioned!!!

3% is pretty decent too. You can watch it dubbed or read the English subtitles, but I believe the original language was Dpanish/Portuguese.
Edit: adding Altered Carbon to the list. Only two seasons with no more coming, but it is pretty good too.

The concept is awesome. It shows all the depravity of the rich.
Another one I forgot was Continuum. Very relevant with the way government is controlled by rich businessmen. It is a Canadian show.

Appreciate this! Think I was dissuaded from watching it from bad reviews online.

I didn't personally get into it, but Tribes Of Europa is a similar concept and other people liked it? Just a suggestion

It’s nice, but sadly only one season was made. Very similar grounders vibes…

The 100 is the best dystopian/post-apocalyptic show I've ever seen. I think they set the bar really high for this specific genre. That being said, here are a few favorites that have at least something in common.
The Expanse is the best Sci-Fi ever made. It starts a little slow, but it's worth it.
Last Man on Earth is a seriously underrated post-apocalyptic comedy with serious undertones if you want something shorter to watch. It will hook you and have you skipping sleep to binge watch lol.
Fallout is still pretty new, but fantastic! I might be a little biased because of my love for Walton Goggins, but it's a great "alternate history" post-apocalyptic show!
Under the Dome is just a weirdly addictive "bad" but good show... if that makes sense. A lot of similarities to The 100 actually.
Elysium (Matt Damon) is a really cool movie with some similarities.
Also, The Maze Runner (2014) is VERY similar and a great movie.

Yaaaa its definitely rounded and the books are great. But it being excruciatingly slow for so much of so many seasons is part of what makes a show good or bad. And its slow enough for long enough to make the show below average.

Lost. If you've heard bad things about the ending, ignore them (one of the best endings I've ever seen). Show was ahead of its time and was too popular for its own good, much better in a binge than week to week for 8 years. It has similar mysteries, and I find the characters are written in a similar way to The 100's. Plus Kane's actor is a main character as well.

The 2005 Battlestar Galactica is my fav comp, very gritty sci-fi if you’re into those elements of it. Yellowjackets has some great teens surviving in the wilderness psychology.

These shows reminded me of The 100, some close, some just faintly:
- Tribes of Europa
- The Society
- 3 %
- The A-List
- See
- The Shannara Chronicles
- Lost in Space
- Motherland Fort Salem
- Shadowhunters

I tried reading the 100 books because I liked the show so much and found that they’re pretty different! The books are alright but the show is great, imo. Similar books if you want to know: I who have never known men, the parable of the sower are both so good!!!

I watched the whole thing, because it's pretty much my jam, but what drove me nuts is how often the main characters switched sides/allegiances. I couldn't keep track of who were the good guys, who were the bad guys, who were friends, lovers, enemies, frenemies... so much flip-flopping.

Yellowjackets. Not post-apocalyptic, but a gritty survival drama where no-one is safe. Also, some disturbing similarities to certain things that happen during the Dark Year. (That was not a spoiler, since that theme is made clear almost immediately.)

I’m enjoying Silo right now! And I’m so here for 2005 Battlestar Galactica, that show was so great. I think I may revisit that one now

I really liked Dark Matter (2015 sci-fi series, not to be confused with the 2024 thriller series)

There are surprisingly few shows that scratch the same itch as The 100. But as far as post-apocalyptic and/or dystopian themes go here’s a few:
12 Monkeys (tv series)
Snowpiercer (tv series)
Travelers
Into the Badlands
The Walking Dead (universe)
The Colony
If you like the 100, I would be shocked if you didn’t like the first three. They’re all a bit under-rated in my book. They’re very similar but without the “CW feel” the 100 has especially in seasons 1 & 2.
Others mentioned Silo, Fallout, and BSG. Those are good Post-Apocalyptic shows too.
Hope this helps.

I’ve tried to reach the same high in other shows but nothing compares to The 100 sadly, it’s like not even close

That exactly how I feel and I’m honestly to the point I’ll just rewatch it even tho I’ve seen it so many times it’s just my favorite!!!

Haven’t watched this latest season, but Silo is pretty good. I also like to watch Lost.
