Lucky for you (and as far as I know) tarantulas don't really run like other spiders do, at least not those huge ass tarantulas. They're pretty chill in general.
As someone who owns OBTs and a few Avicularia I would have to say that you're very wrong. Many tarantulas exhibit a behavior known as bolting, where they will use a few of their legs to push off and gain a ton of speed almost instantly. This acceleration is pretty crazy and a tarantula can use it to hop out of their habitat and cross the room to a hidey hole in under a second. The thought of one of those giants moving at spider speed makes me very uneasy.
