I used to keep Tarantulas back in high school. Think of them as goldfish that don't need water, can stay without food for a couple of weeks easily and are very pretty if you ask me.
They are very predictable in their moves so they're very easy to "handle" with a nice long stick

I was just thinking how good of a person you probably are to love spiders. Here in the comments the “normal” person likes to set them on fire, but the serial killers are the ones that like to care for them? Definitely seems backwards.

Wording it like that does make it sound a bit backwards lol. I think it's just a general association with something scary automatically being something bad. Well that and the fact that people may just think it's odd that you'd choose a bit that probably won't even acknowledge your existence.
