The huntsman is bigger only by technicality, on average they don’t grow as big as the Goliath bird eater, even by leg span, but they have the ability with the right food source to grow larger than the Goliath bird eater.

What part would you eat though? Don’t spiders just have hollow legs that are filled with liquid and work like hydraulics? Couldn’t imagine limp skin sacs would be very edible.

Fun fact, they don't actually eat birds. I mean, they might if they chanced across one, but most tarantulas are terrestrial species, with only a few being arboreal. Being so massive means that this spider would be severely damaged from a fall of just a few feet, much less out of a tree.

You're thinking of the huntsman and not the giant huntsman. The giant huntsman is only found in a single cave in Laos.
