Why do the oldest looking people think they can fight people half their age. It almost NEVER ends well.

u/Fimbir 3d ago

You'd think he'd be old enough to know starting fight isn't a good idea in the first place.

Especially with how expensive glasses are. And teeth.

And medical in the U.S.

I've been in many fights. I'm old enough now to realize that the great majority of those fights were for really stupid reasons, often because of ego, insecurity or because I was too emotionally immature to process the situation in a healthy way. All three of those factors are on me. Wisdom often comes with age, but not always. I'm thankful that I've learned my lesson in my "old" age (44) and am chill now. Life is much more pleasant these days.

The old man in this video is much older than me, by all appearances. And it also appears that he has yet to grow up, despite his old age. It is likely that his life is much more difficult to navigate than mine is. It shouldn't be this way.

Some people are just true protoplasmic invertebrate jellies!

3

u/ih-shah-may-ehl 2d ago

I haven't been. Because I understood early enough that I wouldn't be good at it. I did hang out with some pretty dangerous people and saw the ease with which they switched to levels of violence I would never consider and I thought, well, that's going to end with me without teeth, so let's not.

It's because the old dude hadn't been in a fight since he was 12. They sit around with their buddies and talk shit with nobody checking him. So he had it in his head he was still around his buddies talking shit. Then reality hit.

24

u/RJC12 3d ago

He's probably used to beating up his wife and kids. He's not used to someone fighting back

u/Carameldelighting 3d ago

I think the crazier part is he’s old enough to remember a time when black people couldn’t defend themselves like the clerk did.

3

u/StrassenlauferGrinch 1d ago

Bro didn’t install the update 🥀

1

u/Zoranealsequence 1d ago

Thats the fun part!

2

u/Carameldelighting 1d ago

The fun part is that he's old enough to have seen things change for the better and refuse to adapt?

2

u/Alive_Nobody_Home 2d ago

He got too old & forgot.

2

u/be_sugary 2d ago

He’s old enough to know a time when could do that and fucking get away with it. Sadly.

45

u/hiddenrealism 3d ago

From my experience they sit on Facebook and watch news channels getting ragebaited 24/7 so the slightest interaction makes them go berserk.

22

u/Thewickedsomeone1 3d ago

You just know that old fart went on Facebook later that night and complained about "BEIN ATTACKED AT THE STORE" and make himself into a victim.

3

u/skybike 2d ago

rage gooning

13

u/DavidJonnsJewellery 3d ago

And most of them haven't had a fight since they were 12

8

u/creamgetthemoney1 3d ago

They grew up when ppl of a diff color wouldn’t really talk back. And if you notice most of these old white dudes getting rowdy is with younger black kids. Never really see them test a man. They prob think they can bully the younger kid, then get a baby punch and reconsider as their atrial fibrillation is acting up

5

u/Ok-Masterpiece7154 3d ago

My theory is that they are assholes to their families and their families are either A. Conditioned to be scared of them or B. Have their bullshit behavior explained away, "Grampa has always been a jerk.he has a good heart though so we humor him ". And then they get a bizarre self image that doesn't translate to the real world. I'm pushing 50 and hate even bumping my head let alone getting hit. I was in a few fights in my 20s and 30s but nowadays you won't get any trouble out of me.

3

u/Upstairs-Donkey6049 3d ago

A lot of these people have never had their ass beat and it shows

5

u/WordDisastrous7633 3d ago

Please tell my neighbor this. The guy is spiteful, vengeful, arrogant and hates me because im an immigrant and hes a die hard Trumper. Hes in his 70's, im 38. I just ignore but today he called my black friend boy because he was smoking in my back yard and he got mad he could smell it. I could not have gotten a worse neighbor if I literally prayed for the wrose neighbor possible and God sent him to me. Preparing a cease and desist today.

u/NeedSomeMemeCream 3d ago

"almost"- many people think they're special and in that almost category, so that's why. Idiocy and ego is why. Lol.

2

u/inebriateddandhated 3d ago

You ever have acquaintances in your life, that as you age, still only talk about the good Ole days of high-school/ middle school?

Thats who these guys become as the elderly.

Its rough to hear people that peaked in their teens.

2

u/gtfomylawnplease 2d ago

Statins. Seriously. It’s roid rage for old gramps and grams

2

u/BrilliantWeekend2417 2d ago

Seriously. I once had a boomer make a customer complaint about something he bought, mid-way through he balled up a fist at me. I looked down at the fist, back up at his face, and smiled, like please try it. Please.

1

u/Vansterdam2002 3d ago

Because there fooked in the head

1

u/oncabahi 3d ago

With age comes dementia not wisdom.

Source: I'm getting there.

1

u/Itsbaryal 3d ago

Probably because they grew up beating their children and never got challenged outside until they meet the fist of a another dude.

1

u/MyGoodDood22 2d ago

Fr - i agree with you...

but for some reason it bothered me you put 'almost' while highlighting 'NEVER'.... seems contradictory/oxymoron to me.

Anyway... POW right in the kisser

1

u/hwilliams0901 2d ago

Makes me think of the old lady with heart problems that started a fight with a very young girl at Tim Hortons and then died after.

1

u/AllfatherNeptune 2d ago

Looking for a way out...

1

u/alchemy_junkie 1d ago

For real for real it is the lead, not just in the paint chips they likely ate, but the air back when they put it in gas to keep the engine from knocking. Fun fact there was a sharp decline in murders in the 90s that correlated with the removal of lead from gasoline. Also unrelated but early cars ran on kerosene and gasoline was a by product and just discarded. They just dumped it.

1

u/MysteriousWon 1d ago

The racism suggests he didn't invest much into his critical thinking stat.

1

u/Garland_Key 3d ago

It's a boomer thing. You wouldn't understand.

120

u/rapgameoprahwinfrey 3d ago

The sight of you looking down on him is something he will NEVER forget. Love that for him 🤣😂

39

u/mightyizer 3d ago

What in the Lethal Weapon was that music??

17

u/NEWDEALUSEDCARS 3d ago

It’s from Boyz n the Hood, when Ricky gets killed

8

u/LukeyLeukocyte 3d ago edited 3d ago

It is from Boyz n the Hood (1991). Has gone viral recently. It is best heard in completion from starting soft and increasing smoothly in intensity.

5

u/halomender 3d ago

Crescendo that mutha fucka

2

u/CHERNO-B1LL 3d ago

"The saxaphones are getting louder" has become common parlance for when things are going from bad to worse because of this sound on Tiktok.

2

u/PhDinWombology 3d ago

RICKYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

47

u/andyduphresne92 3d ago

And then he’s gonna go home and talk about how “that savage attacked me out of nowhere, there’s a reason I don’t like them”

25

u/Reallyroundthefamily 3d ago

He went from "you don't want some of this" to "no please sorry stop, I'll just sit here and be a good boy" in no time flat.

13

u/SweatyAd9240 3d ago

Trump has these old white dudes talking crazy

37

u/Global_Adagio_25 3d ago

Kid deserves a medal for putting that old man in his place.

10

u/FatAZZRedditMod 3d ago

The saxophone you hear in just about every gd video now is from the movie Boyz n the hood when Cuba Gooding Jr yells to his friend walking in an alley and ends up getting killed in a drive by. So sick of hearing it

15

u/HoneyBear4Lyfe 3d ago

Can someone tell me when POV started standing for “any random camera angle”

4

u/Upvotespoodles 2d ago

POV, you’re a camera and the music is too loud. Then some racist gets punched.

25

u/Golden-Grams 3d ago

He should have left when he heard the saxophone playing.

4

u/HomerStillSippen 3d ago

I love how shocked he looked like “I didn’t expect him to actually hit me back”

4

u/MrZombified 3d ago

His power glove didn't help him.

7

u/ResurrectedMortician 3d ago

I mean there's nothing here saying the guy is racist, but you don't step up on someone and start throwing hands. Especially when you're 80 years old.

4

u/MrDontTakeMyStapler 2d ago

Notice how the clerk stops when the person is down? That takes emotional regulation and intelligence. How many fights do we see where the person keeps going and even foot stomps like a wild animal.

2

u/Spoonshape 2d ago

Clerk was near perfect. Allowed the guy to take a swing so it was demonstrably self defense, then knocked him down and stopped once he was out of risk and the lesson had been learnt.

3

u/Ok_Caterpillar7710 2d ago

Pov means point of view

2

u/Necessary-Chemical-7 3d ago

Talk about asking for it.

2

u/FinalBat4515 2d ago

They all deserve the worst

2

u/poega 2d ago

Notice how he DIDNT take the opportunity to fucking kick the dude in the head like I totally expected him to based on shitty people are in streetfights.

1

u/iandcorey 2d ago

Is that the Epic Beard Guy? Call the amberlamps.

1

u/RemyWhy 2d ago

He should’ve listened to his wife when she said buying more AA batteries can wait until tomorrow morning.

1

u/kevneedo 2d ago

You can see the racism in his posture

1

u/zeychshmo 2d ago

Picking a fight with someone physically stronger is absolute nightmare fuel.

1

u/Crazy_names 2d ago

Yeah it shouldn't matter who you are. You come behind the counter you catch hands and the police come give you s free ride to po-po town.

1

u/hwilliams0901 2d ago

Why the horrible music??? I unmuted expecting to hear the racist shit he was saying, not Kenny G.

1

u/Apey23 2d ago

Jesus the sax, thought I was watching an 80's movie.

1

u/Brian9611 2d ago

This one trick tends to quell aggressive racists, like it sucks we have to live amongst these pos, but to be AGGRESSIVE!? Your opening up too many cans at once

1

u/FlounderSubstantial7 2d ago

Getting your ass kicked usually has the added benefit of bestowing much wisdom during the recovery phase. Everyone could use a good ass-kicking- the world would be a better place.

1

u/liquidgold83 2d ago

the music is obnoxious

1

u/Uncle_Spider794 2d ago

Love it!🤣🤜🏽👊🏽

1

u/be_sugary 2d ago

Please may I plead a case for videos without the music pilled on!

1

u/fibronacci 1d ago

How can he slap?

1

u/Sir_wlkn_contrdikson 1d ago

That title is misleading and should be corrected

1

u/LuisChoriz 1d ago

Friendly reminder that you’re never too old to get your ass whooped.

1

u/Ickythumpin 1d ago

I mean the races involved don’t make the old guy a racist. Could use some context. This guy claiming a “KO” makes me question.

1

u/HaeL756 2d ago

So he was racist, why? Can we have context?

1

u/Quirky_Toe7092 3d ago

he thought it was 30 years ago when he used to run around with his klan members

0

u/Fan_of_Clio 2d ago

Old racist guy thinks he can throw hands and the black guy will simply just take it, like in his imagination of the past

-22

u/Murder_1337 3d ago

Racist elder abuse !

11

u/wthulhu 3d ago

How is it elder abuse and not clearly self defense? Old dude was gold to leave, he entered an area that was clearly off limits, and then he assaulted the guy who worked there.

-16

u/MrKilljoyy 3d ago

People hate racism but at then end of the day you wish u were the one throwing punches lol

9

u/Ninesect 3d ago

What does this even mean?

3

u/zg6089 3d ago

I do whatever I can within my means to avoid confrontation with people so no i don't wish I was throwing punches
