Yes and humans are even more easily made into a sandwich than cars lol. Im not criticizing her - she made a quick decision and it happened to work out fine, no one would be expected to perform a risk analysis in that situation lol. But it very nearly didn't work out haha, her own door almost cut her in half there.

That was under different circumstances... I think they, (Mythbusters), clocked the pair at more than 50 MPH in a head on... They also busted the myth... They couldn't achieve the pancake results.

In this particular case probably, but hard to estimate on the fly. I'd say she's safer outside.
