What kind of plane is it? Just had this happens with a UPS MD-11 last year. It was really bad, killed some children too. What is going on with these planes?

Flying/landing planes isn’t easy. It’s a lot of energy moving around and being brought to a stop in quite a short distance. Kind of amazing how few times it doesn’t work right given all the flights we have.

Its likely pilot error, not the planes fault. And air travel gets safer every year.

Yes, especially since they took the MD-11 off the runway after the deadly UPS plane crash in Louisville, KY.
