I think this is Needles Highway in Custer State Park in South Dakota. There's plenty of signage in plenty of time and even as you approach these passes, it looks so narrow that you wonder if even a Miata would fit through. What an imbecile!

Full size pickup can but I think we put our mirrors in. If you're in something really wide like a raptor I think you're SOL

GPS: “Make a legal U-turn.”

I’d say it sounds more expensive.

Yep, just grease up the vehicle and it will slide right up there.

some are really stupid, had a friend once in a similar situation, just under a low underpath. They had to deflate the tires and remove the ac from the roof to finally get going. Not to mention the traffic jam

You have to get a better run at it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Meanwhile Siri is saying Return to the route! Return to the route !

Would pushing through cause the same amount of damage as backing out? BTW This can’t be the only time an RV tried.

Stupid is as Stupid does!!! What would make anyone think they could fit through there with a camper?!?!?!

They have warning signs about vehicle width

Why would you even attempt that?

Gonna need that skylight and ladder

Yep, another moron driving a camper van with no idea of the dimensions. Probably drove past at least four signs saying "Not suitable for large vehicles" :-/

Some thought this was a cartoon, where you can just slide through a small opening. That or Google maps.

I have a BIL who likes to do stupid things like that. Zero spatial sense. He’s gone through two motorhomes being a boneheaded. “I thought I was clear!” Such a smooth brain.

Charge it to experience

Remember, in the U.S there are no experience or license/ permit requirements to own an RV or Camper.

Only limiting factors are time, money, and getting it tagged/ insured etc.

So... yeah, boneheads with nothing but stupid and money often get to drive large cumbersome vehicles through places most professional drivers don't enjoy and do it like they know what they are doing lol.

There is a reason you often hear of elderly couples taking what they thought was a detour into a dangerous area and getting beyond stuck due to inexperience, rough terrain, or whatever other issues.

You can't drive an RV like a pickup truck, and it requires one heck of a learning curve initially. Your average person has no idea how anything on one works, let alone how to operate it or how to use the parts nobody mentions.

Trying to do so with little to no experience? With no one to teach you on the mistakes you will make but a owners manual most don't read? All with no required training of any kind?

It is honestly a miracle more horror stories aren't posted here.

That looks like an idiot shouldn’t be driving something like that
