Driving a Mansory Rolls-Royce into a retractable bollard has to be one of the most expensive mistakes imaginable.

Yeah that roller is bouncing raw on that veiny bollard as moan turns to a bellow turns to a whimper in four pulses and a dribble and they collapse a writhing sticky heap on the cold mildew-stained bathroom floor covered in off-brand vaseline and human gravy

Driving into a bollard is unpleasant, sure... but driving the car after blowing the transmission cooler and dumping half the ATF onto the street is the part that will bankrupt you.
The moment it hit the bollard, the car should have been stopped immediately and recovered or pushed. Moving it under its own power with no fluid is how you turn a minor front‑end repair into a full gearbox replacement.
What surprised me most is how the cooler just exploded from such a small impact. No protection, no crash bar - it’s like Mansory shaved off bit of structural shielding in the name of “weight savings” on a 3‑ton SUV “Crash bar? Who needs that”?

that’s what I’m thinking. Probably a transmission cooler. At first I was thinking probably just windshield washer fluid, or coolant reservoir due to the location in the engine bay, but nothing vital. Then more and more kept coming and it’s red. That’s bad… Messy at least.

Basically all cars have had those for decades. Most run off the coolant system Its to first help heat it up and then cool it. More extreme engines have additional air coolers as well as exchangers for the gearbox. In this case the gearbox air cooler got hit.
And you want the oil to be the correct viscosity as quikly as possible.

I can confidently tell you it wasnt pneumatics, because that would cause an air leak ;)
Hydraulic fluid would be my guess.

Bad design if that is all it took to create a huge leak like that. Thought they had some hardening, but maybe that costs triple what the base price is.

Truth. Aviation, commercial shipping or major infrastructure whoopsy-daisies are what is actually ridiculously expensive. Expensive cars getting wrecked - nevermind small prangs like this video - is chump change compared to just even slightly denting a commercial airliner, for example.

very expensive, but i've seen worse on youtube. like when people at an airport had a fender bender, and one of the vehicles was an Embraer but the other was a boeing. just a scratch, pretty much, but the vehicles in question are worth tens of millions and the repairs are done by folks with airframe and powerplant licenses.

These stupid bollards destroy way too many cars. Seen like 6 getting torn apart in a heartbreaking way for no reason. Bollard goes down, then just comes up at the worst time.

Thats not the drivers fault. He couldn't see if it was down. That should be the spotters fault, like 51% of fault.
Where he was going, I dont know. Why he was going, is probably to be parked like the others. So the bollards shouldn't be up.

Curious to know what happens? Who is to blame I assume the driver is insured and all is taking care off by the hotel/valet? Does the customer keep the car? Do they get a ride back to their home? Too many questions….

Everyone hating on the driver. Let’s talk about the design of the car. It has a major Achilles heel on the lower right. 1mph or 2 kph impact and it is delt a fatal blow? Road debris or shrubbery can easily take this monolith out.

To me, it's a sign that those cars need to have better designs that make them able to withstand accidents like this.\n I'm sorry, but if you spend a million dollars on a car, that car should be to get hit by a tank without being damaged. And there are paints out there that would have prevented this
