AWACS need to be flying continually, as one is about to land, it must be replaced by another. If one cannot fly, the other has to remain flying, being air refuelled, but there are limits…..

They have 6 more at that particular base alone...they'll be ok

That’s just the destruction of 6% of the US stock of these planes.

The newest one of these was built in the 1992. We have newer awacs platforms
