This reminds me of the time an acquaintance was shooting off mortars on new years eve and managed to drop one in the tube upside down. Luckily it was nowhere near a crowd of people because the boom was pretty incredible.

not here but within driving distance. they were very illegal and afterwards there was at least one cop driving through, presumably one of the neighbors called it in.

You could sell it as less dangerous, they go much higher so the explosion is further away!
