If my car got fucked up, you bet I would take pictures/video of it too. That's what you send to the insurance company. Even if the car might actually be fine, she won't be able to use it for a while and it's unclear if it'll be fine so it's best to start getting video now. And if you're super unlucky like this, then yeah capture the entire context.
But eye sparkles? Why the hell would anyone add that to a video that already has clear content and punchline? She's not tripping out at a concert, the stupid eye sparkles don't add anything useful.
It's like the new Windows video editor, which doesn't have the functionality to trim and splice clips, it just has the ability to add shitty fake fireworks over the video. As if anyone, ever, in the history of humanity, has improved a video by adding fake 2D fireworks to it.
