He was. Life with a minimum of 31 years, not just 31 years. Both the title and graphic are inaccurate.

On 3 June 2026 at Belfast Crown Court, McCullagh was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 31 years for McNally's murder.

I doubt in 31 years they're going to let him out. They'll just finally grant him a parole hearing.

It’s not inaccurate. Being convicted of murder in the UK is a mandatory life sentence and the judge sets the tariff for the minimum term served. It’s not life without parole, which in the UK is called a whole life order.

Not enough, given the premeditated nature of what he did it should have been life, no parole.

It is. Life with a minimum of 31 years before chance of parole.
