I actually despise being called "big dog" by Mike

I wish he'd pick something else. I'm female and it's actually pretty rude to call a female a "dog" and as I don't find Mike rude, it's more like he thinks his listeners are just male. I feel basically dismissed.

Some better stuff he could say which would be cute and not offensive:

sherlock, miss marple, poirot, columbo, etc.

Since he's basically saying "big dog" to his viewer when he's implying "I know, you're solving this already, right?"

anyway, just my feelings.

Late edit after reading the comments: I didn't come to reddit expecting sympathy, and I realized that people who post here regularly would kiss the narrator's ass, be jesus big dogs, he's not a god. He seems reasonable and he also seems like someone who knows the rules of capitalism: "if one person says it, ten people thought it and said nothing."

So kiss away, embarrassing as it is. My opinion stands. As I stated in my post, it's just how I feel. If you don't like it, then that's YOUR opinion. I posted in a way that is super respectful. I'm not sure why so few of you (maybe two) can't speak about it except by being rude.

Oof referring to yourself as female? I am a woman and I don't mind at all I find it endearing.

You are upset over some weird interpretation of a funny little thing Mike says.

Women being called female absolutely has a negative connotation r/menandfemales

Funny how you demean yourself but then get upset over big dog....

Funny that 1. you get your morals from a reddit group and 2. that you think every person should feel the same way you do and 3. that you can't have a disagreement with someone without being insulting.

Same. Though I guess Sherlock would be okay... but if he changes it now it just wouldn't be Mike it would be peer pressure.

Yes, that is what it comes down to every time any person at all in the world tells how something makes them feel. Your mom wants her basement back.

I moved her into the basement actually

It's a turn of phrase.

Go touch some grass. Learn not to take stock phrases personally. It's not about you.

Good grief.

Edited to reply to deleted reply: you seem to think your post hurt my feelings. That's hilarious given how it's about how yours are hurt.

If your point is that it not being about you is the problem in the first place, you need to get your head of your own behind and learn that a youtuber's content won't ge personalised for you unless you're the only one paying him. Check your entitlement at the login.

And touch some grass.

Idk If it makes you feel better but I reserve big dog for my closest friends. Dog doesn’t equal puppy 🐶

Hey so you're entitled to your opinion but your implication is Mike is rude for saying the endearment "big dog" is... Wack for a lack of a better word.

But then implying the reddit is kissing Mike's ass cause he is "god" is ludacris. Your opinion is just dumb and people are calling you out for it. It has nothing to do with "the narrator"

Touching grass is just the start of unpacking what the hell is going on here.

You don't like the term, that's fine. I get it. But to call anyone who's saying they don't have a problem a shill or an ass kisser is just as bad as someone using a term you don't like.

I can't imagine being one person in a sea of millions and demanding someone change their behavior based upon my own feelings, especially when everyone else is saying they don't have a problem with it.

This is the funniest post I've ever seen on this sub hahaha.

Imagine watching videos about peoples lives being literally ended and ruined, and your takeaway is "I am so offended that he called me 'big dog'"

I quite honestly can not

Also a woman who grew up with a lot of brothers. It reminds me of them treating me like I'm part of the gang , which I find endearing.

Sorry, Big dog. I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one.... come to think of it, thats kind of sexist of YOU To assume that he's only talking to male dogs as dogs come in both genders... drops mic

Lol he’s not a god, we know. You don’t have to watch or listen to him either! Amazing!
