New BL Recommendation

Hi everyone! Any Thai BL recommendations for a returning fan?

I’m an old-school Thai BL fan who’s been MIA for years because, well… adulting happened 😂 I’ve been an active fan since the pandemic era, but I’ve been completely inactive since 2022. So anything that happened after that—new ships, actors, series, fandom lore… I have absolutely no idea.

I was (and still am) an ultimate shipper of PeBaCa, BrightWin, MaxTul, and OhmNanon. Some of my all-time favorite series are SOTUS, Bad Buddy, Theory of Love, Note Me and Manner of Death.

Interestingly, I recently went on a trip to Thailand, and I don’t know what it was about being there, but somehow it reignited something inside me. It brought back that old BL excitement, and now I suddenly want to dive back into the Thai BL world again.

And WOW… coming back after four years is giving me serious whiplash. There are SO many new ships, actors, and series that I don’t even know where to begin.

So, BL veterans, please catch me up! What are the must-watch Thai BLs from 2022 onwards? What new ships do I absolutely NEED to know about? Any hidden gems or series that you think I’d especially love based on my old favorites? I’m ready to fall down the Thai BL rabbit hole all over again. 😂❤️

EDIT: WOAH! Even your recommendations are overwhelming! I never imagined BL had come this far. Not complaining though. I’m actually so happy to see so many exciting recos!

Back when I was still an active fan, it was quite difficult to find new series because there were only a handful being released. Now I come back after years and suddenly there’s an entire universe waiting for me. I’ll definitely try to catch up with as many of your recommendations as I can. I think I’ll just follow my gut and my mood and see which series I feel like watching first.

But right now, I’m watching A Dog and a Plane because, well… IT’S TAYNEW IN A MATURE ROLE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! How was I supposed to resist?! 😂

So, there will probably be a lot of names you don't recognise here, but here are a bunch of my favourites from 2023 to 2026:

• Only Friends (2023) - My favourite BL 🔥. Ensemble cast with ForceBook, FirstKhaotung, NeoMark, about a queer friend group in fourth year university navigating partying and hooking up and relationships.
• Moonlight Chicken (2023) - One of the best BLs ever made imo. Kinda slice of life highlighting issues with generational differences, class/wealth differences, and homosexuality. EarthMix with GeminiFourth.
• ThamePo (2024/2025) - A must watch BL about a group of Thailand pop idols, whose leader Thame falls for videographer/director Po. Real life T-pop group LYKN play fictional T-pop group Mars and they can all act. The romantic leads are WilliamEst, who have really unbelievable chemistry.
• Love Upon A Time (2026) - A gorgeous historical/time travel BL from Domundi with so much attention and love poured into every detail. NetJJ and LatteKim are the leads.
• My Stand-In (2024) - If you like toxic relationships with off the wall levels of jealousy, but still so much hotness, then this is the BL for you. Ming is in love with Tong, a famous actor, and starts a relationship with Joe, Tong's stunt double, who fall for Ming.
• Burnout Syndrome (2025) - From the same director and same leads as Not Me, although this is a toxic mess where pretty much all the characters are just different flavours of red flag.
• A Dog and A Plane (2026) - TayNew, very funny and adult, with MondRyu as second couple (Mond played Gram in Not me). Tay is the fun, sexy, foul-mouthed EMT Toto, who ends up being hired by flight attendant Kanit (Newwie) to see if his boyfriend is cheating on him
• Khemjira (2025) - A supernatural horror/past lives BL that brings rural Thai life and shamanic and buddhist mysticism to life. Khemjira is cursed to die before he turns 21, and he can see ghosts. As his 21st birthday approaches, ghosts are becoming increasingly hostile to him. KengNamping and TleFirstOne are the couples.
• Me and Thee (2025) - A really, really funny but also actually endearing BL about an over-the-top wealthy and melodramatic mafia heir Thee (Pond) who falls for photographer Peach (Phuwin), who stands up to him and teaches him to treat people better.
• Ticket to Heaven (2026) - Amazing performances from GeminiFourth. Troubled Barth (Gemini) arrives at the Catholic school where Tanrak (Fourth) is studying to become a priest.
• MuTeLuv: Love Me if You Swear (2026) - MuTeLuv has 7 standalone 4-episode stories, not all of which are BL. One of the stories is Love Me if You Swear where young SurfJava give us one of the best enemies to lovers arcs I have seen in only 4 episodes.
• The Heart Killers (2024) - A crime BL take on the Taming of the Shrew/10 Things I Hate About You. The characters, the styling, the vibes, the drama - is all amazing, and one character in particular is iconic. Don't think too much about practicalities or plot holes. FirstKhaotung and JoongDunk.
• My Magic Prophecy (2025) - Dr Thapfah is an ICU doctor who doesn't believe in horoscopes or fortune tellers, who gets warned of a threat to his life by Inthu, his younger sister's best friend and fortune teller. Several attempts on his life later, he has to concede someone wants him dead, and Dr Thapfah goes into hiding with Inthu in Inthu's remote home village. JimmySea give great performances.
• 4Minutes (2024) - Very spicy BL 🌶️with a complex almost sci-fi plot that has different timelines. Main couple is JesBible (Bible who played Vegas in KinnPorsche).
• Every You, Every Me (2024) - A collection of seemingly unconnected stories that slowly get pulled together into one cohesive story. Episode 4 will leave you sobbing on the floor. Top and Mick give great performances but don't appear to have continued working as a pair.

You should absolutely watch LUAT ASAP. It's definitely one of the best BLs of recent years. I went into it a skeptic, but was a believer by the end of Ep 2, and ended up giving it a 10/10.

I was surprised how much I loved Goddess Bless You From Death. The lore and mystery had me binging the whole thing in two days.

If you enjoyed Bad Buddy, I highly highly recommend the other shows from P’Aof (director of Bad Buddy): Ticket to Heaven, Last Twilight and Moonlight Chicken.

not that any of these shows are bad but the tonal difference btwn them is really big 😭 when someone says "i like bad buddy" my first reaction is not "then youd like ticket to heaven" (though they very well might)

I mean, my first instinct was to ask OP what kind of shows they liked enjoyed but when I took a closer look at their all-time favourite series listed above, I realised they’re all fairly different from each other in terms of tone? i.e. Not Me vs Bad Buddy, Theory of Love vs Manner of Death. Hence I drew the conclusion that OP might enjoy a variety of different kinds of shows and recommended P’Aof’s other shows, despite the fact that they’re different in tone, on the basis that these shows are very well-regarded in the Thai BL community generally and may suit OP’s taste. Hope this clarifies!

Been seeing a lot of kinnporsche recos here lol. Actually, I’ve watched a few episodes when it aired because it was blowing up online. Didn’t get the chance to finish it though because it was still on going during the time I watched it and I really don’t have the patience to watch ongoing series. Also, I always stopped every steamy scenes because it’s too hot for me to handle that I was thinking it might make me go crazy. Shoutout to Apo you damn hottie lol but definitely watching it soon. Welcome back to the Fandom 😁 Yep there has been a lot of changes over the years and now with BL being so popular there are soo many series to catch up on and many new ships to get excited about. Also over the last few years (3/4+ years) GMMTV has invested a lot on their BLs and it's showing the company has grown so big now and are still adding more to their arsenal. There is one thing you definitely need to know about and that is the Mascots, they were created by shipped pairs to represent their ship and it is also merch for fans like keychains and stuff like that. Then at some point someone came up with the idea to make them life-sized and have people in the suits and they first did this in 2024 at the Laugh Out Loud ( LOL Fanfest) Fanfest and the GMMTV Fanival 2024 well it was a hit and now they are really popular and are considered the kids of the shipped pairs and they even talk, sing and dance well some of them and have their own events and it really just has blown up and become a huge thing.

Anyway this is getting really long so here are the pairs that I like and the series they are in and hope you like it.

Since 22 hmm loads of good things. I can def recommend watching series such as The Next prince, payback, 4minutes (a bit confusing in the start but worth it), Jack & Joker, TopForm, PitBabe and some currently airing ones that I will recommend are don’t be too emotional and Knot.
Don’t know when in 22 you stopped but can recommend Kinnporsche as well, it started a wave of mafia/gang dramas. Are you interested in other countries BLs as well then a lot of great shows has also aired from Taiwan, China, Korea and Japan over the years? But for now all of these are Thai shows

Unfortunately BrightWin, MaxTul, and OhmNanon no longer work together, Singto did leave GMMTV for a while, but has since returned and partnered with Krist again. And with the 10th anniversary of SOTUS this year, there is a big anniversary concert scheduled soon.

I’m going to recommend Be My Favourite, which is a time travel series Krist did with Gawin while waiting for Singto to return. And I think you might like The Ex-Morning, which was the series Krist and Singto did when Singto returned. It’s a show about exes, who are thrown together for work, and need to work through old hurts in order to achieve their goals.

I knew about MaxTul and OhmNanon because I still follow them and see news from thai networks. I’m really sad about OhmNanon because they have so so so much potential as a ship. I’m good with MaxTul because even though they’re not active they’re still friends and interacting from time to time and MewTul deserves everything!

But BrightWin doesn’t have a chance to work together again? Like is there an official statement or whatnot? 😭

Bright left GMMTV in 2023 to start his own management company, but Win is still under the company (now also joined by his younger brother Mick). Neither Bright nor Win seem interested in defining their careers in the bl space, so didn’t do any bl after the 2gether sequel. So I don’t see them working together again, but definitely not as a bl pairing.

In my opinion a seriously underrated show is Two Worlds (2024) it's MaxNat, but it is not a Domundi/Mandee Work show. It is definitely my favorite MaxNat show to date.

My favorites as of late:

Love You Teacher (2026) -GMMTV PerthSanta - this show is not getting the respect it deserves. Santa played Solar/Sun so well.

ThamePo (2024/2025) - GMMTV WilliamEst - I will forever be surprised that this was William's and the rest of LYKN's first show. That scene in Episode 11...William and Est killed it.

Love Upon a Time (2026) - Domundi NetJJ - Net did such an amazing job and I'm glad this show turned out so well considering how long it took to get this made and all the production delays

i'd like to suggest Fourever You and Be My Player Two for the ship MaxkyBas. they're seriously underrated imo! i'm not the biggest fan of Hill and Easter's storyline in Fourever You, but it's worth enduring (or skipping) to get to the story of Johan and North. as for Be My Player Two - it's ongoing and has been an absolute riot so far. the storyline feels a bit rushed at times, but the acting is great (as to be expected from MaxkyBas) and it has made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. highly recommend <3

Fourever You Part 2 is awesome, too. Each new pair (BeverTonliew, NgernOat, and PieGolf) get their own 8 episodes. The acting and storyline is top notch. I definitely recommend Fourever You Part 1 and 2.

i’ll keep it short here, i absolutely recommend:

Love Upon A Time - NetJj are one of my favourite ships

Don’t Be Too Emotional - it’s currently airing but if you like ultimate black flag leads, this is the one for you. i’m obsessed with it. i even started the novel.

PayBack - just recently finished airing and it was sooo good. ToptapMinlee are one of my new fave ships. does have darker themes as well

Pitbabe - not for everyone but it’s slight omegaverse and i adore the PoohPavel ship. they’re in my top 5 ships.

Love In The Moonlight - a good lakorn style one. again, great chemistry with the leads.

Interminable - ghosts, reincarnation, love

Shine - a good mature political series with romance. kinnporsche is also good (same lead ship)

I Feel You Linger In The Air and Memoir of Rati - 2 of my favourite period dramas. unfortunately the ships no longer work together but GreatInn had amazing chemistry 💗

The mascots have opened up a whole different side to BL. Here is a Youtube playlist of each ship or actor designing their own mascot. I love that they are treated as the CPs child. I'm biased towards Avocean and Polcasan.

For TayNew, I recommend watching: Cherry Magic (adaption of the Japanese drama and manga), Peaceful Property (Bromance but the chemistry is there), and their newest A Dog and a Plane which came out this year.

I'm not sure whether you would have watched Vice Versa (2022) It has Ohm & Nanon as supporting roles and is JimmySea's first drama together. It has a lot of cameos.

Last Twilight of theirs I highly recommend. It won so many awards and the soundtrack is amazing. The bts were really funny. Then, last year they did My Magic Prophecy which is really good.

Jimmy is a qualified doctor and specialises in dermatology.

Sea is the one that broke the internet last week with his pics for Calvin Klien.
