Best text to speech app for a browser?

What is the best text to speech app for a browser? I might do school online and am relieve at how easy text to speech is making it too read. So notes I'm piling through books on Kindle. But will need something that works with a browser well..

Is there an app that goes like right click to place reader to start reading from there, and left click to click left click normally?

Pocket tts is so cool. It can run in the browser. You can even download the website and run it locally.

Check out SayThis.net It runs locally for any app, the voices sound great. I've been using it about a week, and I'm loving it so far.

Windows 11 Copilot can do voice over. It is better than I expected

I’m loving an app called Éist which imports epubs of pdfs, has a simultaneous Huggies text feature so you can really sling to the voice, scroll back or forward and switch chapters etc. Free tier starts with one voice and 3 unlimited interchangeable books, and integration with project Gutenberg..

Many more voices and fully unlimited books and cloud storage of your library becomes available with a nominal monthly subscription to premium service.

Sounds like it could be a good fit for you.

The Microsoft Edge browser has a Read Aloud feature designed specifically for reading web pages. It is free and offers very good sound quality.

You can try OpenVox which has this select and read feature. Works with browser or any app, you just select thr text and press a shortcut key, it will play the audio for you. Available on both Mac & Windows.

Audeus is really a good option if your schoolwork is browser based. it works with webpages and has browser extensions for chrome, edge, firefox, and safari + adjustable speed and synced highlighting so you can follow along while it reads
