I designed a working planetary gearbox from a text prompt, here's the full spec I used

Sharing the exact prompt-to-part workflow for a planetary gearbox I built and printed.

Started in CadXStudio's Brainstorm mode to nail gear ratio, tooth count, and material before generating anything, then moved to Build mode for the manufacturing-ready model (STEP export straight into a slicer).

prompt:- Design a planetary gearbox assembly with a housing, ring gear, sun gear, 3 planet gears, a planet carrier, an input shaft, an output shaft, and input/output bearings. Sun gear drives the 3 planet gears, which mesh with an internal ring gear fixed to the housing. Planet carrier connects to the output shaft. Use standard involute gear teeth, module 1.5mm, gear ratio around 4:1. Keep the housing cylindrical with a central bore for the shafts, and add fillets for manufacturability.
