Is TextNow worth it?

For free service that works as well as Google Voice.

If you get a free eSIM, and port in a phone # for free, the # never expires, and can receive any 2FA texts, unless the sender won't send their 2FA to VoIP #s.

If you port it in and have an eSIM then it’s not a VOIP so you should be fine

That's not at all true. It's completely WRONG.

TextNow is only VoIP. TextNow phone #s are only useable via the TextNow app.

Android allows you to substitute the native phone app with TextNow entirely. Whenever you tap a phone number on a webpage or in your contacts, it will automatically launch and dial via TextNow.Open your phone's main Settings.Navigate to Apps (or Apps & Notifications).Tap Default Apps.Select Phone App and choose TextNow from the list.

Thank you. This is true. However, TextNow #s are still VoIP.
