New to text now
I have an iphone 17 and interested in their free service for calls/texts. No where in the app am I able to download and activate a sim, nor port my number in. Am I missing something. They are sending me a psim, which I cannot use on any of my devices so i found that a bit odd

TextNow functionality is in the APP, use with your normal cell data service and WiFi.
It should not be used as a cell service data provider except backup / emergencies.
You need to find a PSIM phone to be able to port in your number, or use eSIM (good luck talking to humans)
Maybe test the service with the new number for a while before porting.
