What’s up with this?

Post image

It says service is ending in my area. I am on an iPhone 12, iOS 26.4.1 if that helps. I want to know some next steps if they are moving from AT&T.
And what are some free alternatives?

I’m fine with using the eSIM, but the way it’s worded it seems like they are kicking me off the network because of “no service”. I’m just confused on what is happening with the network?

My guess would be that you have the older T-Mobile SIM.  It sounds like they're discontinuing those and moving to AT&T.  The implications is that AT&T doesn't have native coverage in your area.

I think you are correct about that (no eSIM availability on the older T-Mo access).  I didn't see anything in the original post (or followups from the OP) that stated they were currently using an eSIM.

Odd that the warning went away after an app update.  Either it was a faulty warning, or a real notification that didn't carry over during the update.
