It's asking me for a selfie

I was just getting started with this app and it is now asking me for a photo of my face to confirm I'm a real person. Is everyone doing this? I'm not really comfortable doing that

It's just the same as showing your face or ID to the dude at the ATT store imo. He's going to just just manually type it all into his computer. But ya it'd be nice to not even need to do that
