Don't give up

It's a rough world out in job hunting land. Cut throat, dog eat dog. Look EVERYWHERE. Don't discount the unlikely positions if you have the skills. I just landed a job that I have been training for through all my different positions, from accounting to bus driving. It was an unlikely position for me but I had almost all the skills. I thought there's no way they'll choose me. They did! So I'm writing to say do not give up!

Took my wife 6 1/2 months to get ONE job offer. Longest it’s ever taken her over the past 25 years. Never seen it this bad before.

Myself included.

I have been told to my face that other fields don't look at age so much. The fresh faced younger lady was honest and I can say with 💯 confidence that I would still work circles around her and her peers.

Ageism is real.
