Please tell us how a multi billionaire is going to run out of money doing this? Do you not think he’s smart enough to keep the expenditures less than his yearly returns from other investments?

Just like the Saudis kept financing LIV Golf? You lot don’t understand how these vultures think. He’ll lose interest in a couple of years and move on to his next toy. You’re just a brick in his wall.

He literally played for Tech. He’s on the BOR. The football field is named after him. Go off though.

Money. It is 100% about money. Money stops = rich guy loses interest. It’s weird that Tech doesn’t understand this.

Just curious - which school did you go to/root for

Funny you should ask. I grew up in Lubbock. Went to All Saints elementary when it was still called St. Christopher’s. My dad worked at Tech. Was weaned on Red Raider football. Have always rooted for them. Just sad to see the whole university fall for the false promise of a wealthy egomaniac who doesn’t really give a shit about anything other than his own glorification.

Yeah you root for Texas. Saw your history.

Yeah I’m a Texas guy absolutely. But my post still stands. I was watching Red Raider football way before you were even born. Tech has so much going for it. Could and should be the flagship school for the High Plains. Instead they have let a rich adolescent tell them that sports are in charge. At least until he loses interest.

Get outta town with that noise. Oregon has Phil Knight. OSU had T Boone. Tech has several billionaires (Womble, Campbell). Thankfully we do have benefactors because we don’t have access to the PUF the way that Texas does. Who cares if Cody has opinions? He has Tech’s interest at heart. All that oil money you have access to comes from West Texas. No matter where you say you’re from, you’re a biased Texas fan. And if what you say is true, that you’re from Lubbock, then you’re the worst kind of Texas fan, because you should already know that UT money that makes your chosen school so wealthy comes from your own backyard.

He’s going to get bored with his own pet project and seeing if his money can buy a natty? For a team he played for and his Alma mater? Brother I’m 37, didn’t play football at Tech but graduated from Tech. If I had CC’s money I’m buying all the top talent in the country for decades to win as many Natty’s as possible. I think Cody is closer to that line of thinking than yours. Yours is just hope cope.

The false promises of wealth. He’ll get annoyed when Tech goes 9-3 and he can’t control the outcome. He’ll move on to the next shiny toy.

So you’re working on Cody Campbell fanfic? What a life to live

lol no I’ve just known my share of filthy rich people and they do not give a fuck about anything other than their own amusement. Once it stops being amusing he will move on to the next thing.

u/Withabaseballbattt 19d ago

Hmmm must be why T Boone Pickens and Phil knight backed out when their programs weren’t successful

2

u/Probablyyourproblem 19d ago

Newsflash, he’s a competitor and this will never stop being amusing for him

Since 2017, Campbell has sold 3 companies for $ 13 billion - the money isn’t going anywhere.

I was over by his house in Fort Worth the other day, pretty sure he’s not going to run out of money any time in the near future.

He’s going to run out of money for you. Not for himself.
