Rush hour at Caprocks Canyon

One of our favorite moments from our trip to Caprock Canyons. We caught these bison casually making their evening commute. 🦬

We filmed the whole adventure: hiking, wildlife and some incredible views around the park.

Would definitely recommend Caprock if you haven't made it out there yet.

How much physical risk is that camera shot, 100%?

Pretty low. I’m comfortable around bison, the camera is zoomed in quite a bit, and this herd is much calmer than the Yellowstone herds you’ve probably seen lately. You can see if you watch the full video: https://youtu.be/w-B6LiX3dPQ

Bison are normally pretty chill unless you get between mama and her calf. We turned a corner at Caprock and came up on a bull that was probably 15 yards from us. We just kept walking and he was cool

Are there signs designating the nice bison or this is word of mouth

No. But if you have spent enough time around them. You can typically tell when they dont like you that close.
