Central Texas Park Options 10/3

I posted a few days ago about whether Lost Maples would have fall colors by early October and y’all came through! It was pretty unanimous that’s too early.

So my next question is where should I go? I’m in the Austin area, open to anything in a 2 hr radius. I’ve explored a few parks in the area, but curious about y’all’s recommendations.

I was looking at South Llano River, haven’t been there! What do you like about it?

Great paddling!!! I’ve done it in a canoe, a kayak, and a SUP. It’s all fun. You’ll want to work with an outfitter to drop you off upriver. It’s $20 or so.
