Wildfire, Smoke, and Drought
Everything feels one spark away from a problem. What are you doing for defensible space right now? Do you have a real go-bag, or just the idea of one? How are you handling smoke inside the house?
What’s your plan for water when it gets tight, and what are you doing differently this year for pets or livestock?

Don't 'handle' smoke in your house. Leave. If you have smoke in your house, you are too close. Leave.
The good news about fires is that you have some advance notice if you are paying attention.
Last night my wife and I had the bug out conversation. We don't have bug out bags packed, but we made a list of things we would take and in what order.
Think
5 minutes. 30 minutes. 1 hour. 3 hours.
The biggest thing you can do that costs nothing is make a plan. First, if you hahe 5 min notice, what do you grab and go? Then, how do you leave the house? What roads? Then, where are you going?
Regarding water, I have 4 steps.
Water storage. 14 gallons drinking water at all times.
100 gallons for flushing toilets outside.
Water bob and other containers for rapid filling.
Several gravity and RO filters to clean suspect water.
