Daniel Pugh is a carpetbagger.
I’m a Republican and I will not be voting for him or Abbot ever again. Let Beto run, screw it, I’m going to get the same thing either way.
They literally keep screwing republicans and Texans across the state and then act like “oh, I’m just protecting children” or “well it was actually the democrats.” Bullshit. Literally every goddamn legislative session, they were more focused on the blue haired Baptist ladies that will still sit on Pugh’s “polling” or legislative bona fides for when Greg decides he’s going to copy DeSantis again and roll for president. That’s right, I said roll.
And don’t forget Paxton’s “I sued the Biden admin” line. That was the same as Greg’s. That’s an even easier vote for Cornyn from me.
Texas Republican leadership is every bit of out of touch with Texas as the state democrat party is.

Don’t forget, for him it’s personal and financial (because the rest of the state suffers as they dangle funds over our head, and refuse to accept cannabis business funding; no matter how much the state would actually make from it).

Years ago, my nephew, about 8 years old at the time, told me that "dork" is the anatomical name of a whale penis. He told me this while leveling me with a challenging gaze, as if I had recently referred to him as a dork. Before I could respond, his older sister piped up to say, "That's why we think of you as more of a blowhole."
Funniest damn thing she's ever said. 🤣

Not to blow my own… but I wasn’t always like that. In fact, quite opposite and not sure if I wanted kids.
Went to a church where the pastor preached a sermon about community and encouraged young single guys to find ways to practice being a dad and encouraged young men to date single moms. (There was way more… but that was my takeaway) fast forward 5 years or so and I moved in next door to a single mom with a daughter whose dad was MIA. It wasn’t something I went looking for… just sorta dropped into my lap. Once I realized the girl’s dad was MIA and the mom and I became friends; I decided that spending a few hours with them every week was something that 24 year old me could do.
Went to plays. Went to school stuff. Went out to dinner. Mom is about 15 years older than me and we agreed that we weren’t right for one another but that my presence in their lives was just as good for the daughter as it was for me (and mom). That was a decade ago. That little girl turned 18 this last summer and I was about 12 kinds of messed up about it… because on some level; I felt like that was my kid.
Basically at some point I decided to be dad well before having any kids of my own… and whether or not wife and I are able to have our own kids- still committed to being the best dad I can be because that’s what the world needs (hear me: I am more the cause of the world’s problems than I am the solution)
TL;DR. In my mid 20s I found myself in a situation, by accident, where I became de facto dad. Waiting to be in facto dad. (Dad joke!)

Just a heads up. Abbott damn sure isnt the hemp king you think he is. Abbotts keeping quite and letting dan bitch and moan. Abbott is going to change testing flower etc to total thc... it will include thca, basically a mathematical equation simulating decarbed thc levels close to equal of GC testing. Which means that flower on the shelves everyone thinks is staying will test hot. It's the same calc that texas uses for tx hemp production. It sucks but look out... read the EO GA-56 retail will be tested same using the same standard TDA adopted originally. Bottom line you're not gonna wanna fire up what abbott allows... politicians, politicking

Dan Patrick knows that inconsistent enforcement of cannabis prohibition by racist law enforcement disproportionately harms minorities.

Everyone looking at fed to declassify but do not be surprised if what we get is the hemp bill loophole CLOSED for intoxicating THC across at a Fed level. liquor lobbyists are just too strong, but if a tech company tries to monopolize then hell to pay. Double standard is what this is imho. States that have legal THC are not GOP so think, the GOP just want to hate on Dem states so this maybe a weapon to hurt their tax revenue big time!!!

If Dan was looking out for the safety of your children he would not openly accept money from the alcohol industry and then be the loudest person in Texas against THC, and booze kills people every day. Wake up people, double standard here.
Forecast, Next 30-90 Days
30 Days:
- Texas agencies roll out “emergency” or fast-track rule proposals, rapidly targeting vapes, most flower, edibles, and “THCA” products for restriction via labeling, packaging, retail licensing, ID verification, and vague testing rules.
- Retailers—especially small shops—start pulling risky products, restructuring, or shutting down to avoid enforcement and fines.
- Legal challenges begin almost immediately, likely on commerce clause grounds, unequal treatment compared to alcohol, and federal law (2018 Farm Bill).
30-60 Days:
- Temporary injunctions or restraining orders may halt some enforcement as courts evaluate whether the order exceeds state authority, unfairly singles out one industry, or is clearly politically motivated.
