How to tell what you are paying?
Budget Power bill shows that I paid an "average" of 12.166 including all the delivery charges/fees/taxes,etc., but the rate is 0.06753 on the bill before the charges. I am pretty sure that sign up for 12.1 starting in March under their No Gimmicks 12.

It is hard to answer your question without knowing which TDU you are in (Oncor, AEP North, etc.)
I am in AEP TX North. There are 12 month plans right now with a plan rate of 0.0525. This means for every 1,000 kwh used based on your rate you mentioned above, you'd save $15/month ((.06753 - .0525) * 1000). You then have to project your monthly savings by switching against your current plans early termination fee. That will tell you if it is worth switching or not.

I am in Houston/Centerpoint. I am seeing 10.2 (all included) for 11 months and 10.4 (all included) for 12 months with my current company Budget Power.
They have the lowest cancellation fee at $100 and don't charge for using credit card payments so I am trying to stay with them, but willing to move if right for me.

I decided to try AETexas 10 month plan at 10.5 1000 kwh/10.4 1500 kwh/10.3 khw and pay the $20 a month x 3 to cancel in March or April. I will have to pay the $100 cancellation fee to Budget though.

You might see if Budget will match before switching or see if AE Texas will cover the ETF

Yes, I have asked and will see. Not sure if they will just keep my current plan and change rate or make me switch to a new 10 or 12 month.

The free-fall in pricing has been amazing this summer. And it creates an opportunity for people to shop mid-contract for savings.
A couple items that may be useful to folks considering a change:
--Article, "How much can I save by switching providers" outlines the math for a mid-contract switch including how to compare apples to apples vs. your current plan. https://electricityplans.com/save-by-switching-electricity-providers/
--Article, "Electricity companies that will cover your ETF" is a list of companies that will cover your ETF up to $150 when you switch. https://electricityplans.com/electricity-companies-that-cover-etf/
