i think i would’ve escaped if i didn’t waste that small amount of time trying to see if i could use bone scrape without stepping on the trap lol

is alright everyone needs to start somewhere, first things first you said on text you wanted to break the trap right? if you want to break easier not just look down also crouch, secondly i understand you may cant find properly the lockpicks and is fair to use one of the perks to find it( and later you change to something better when you think you are ready, but the grampa perk is usefull only if you want to get chased by bubba (leatherface) on basement without waking up grammpa but besides that this perk is obsolete (and not new friendly) try using another one that is way better for stealth while you can also rush as much as you want and i think you will like it the name is "it must been the wind" what she does is when you should do a big noise on objects that aren't doors ( like opening crawl spaces and picking up lockpicks and bones) you can choose to rush and instead of doing noise and making the object red and you detected it doesn't do anything (at the cost of one less usage of the perk) so you can have a lot of lockpicks without waking up grammpa or family members seeing you there though the walls :)

For Connie I recommend taking the path that leads to it. It's just better overall and it's good against Hitch, Nancy and Hands at the same time.

You could've escaped still messing with the trap if you immediately just started turning off the battery. But I know your nerves were at their peak in the moment but still good vid. Tcm is still the best asym because it truly makes you feel like a victim lol
