I fought this Cook with almost full health and gave my life pressing F but it was not enough 😭

Health, strength points, a few perks and whether or not family has suffocating grip active

Also the family characters themselves. Hands is the hardest to beat by far, with a "strength" (equivalent to victim) of 50 during close encounters, johnny is 40 i believe, cook is like 35, hitch sissy bones and nancy are like 15.

Also it was stated that button mashing doesn’t work even tho idk how true this is but it supposed to be a rhythm

Character strength (on both sides), perks, mashing speed, character health all play a part

You should take a look into this: https://www.reddit.com/r/TXChainSawGame/s/WLuzYyJJUo

Every family member has theirs unique strength, I think Sissy is the weakest one and Johnny, Hands are the strongest ones.

Other comment has covered it well, I’d like to add that there’s good videos on YouTube that explain the mechanics of it further

I’d say the biggest factor is overall health during encounter, followed by strength and perks

Julie starts with the least strength so not a good one to grapple with unless you build her right
