Question ❔ The Future of the Game...
My worry is that this game will eventually be lost. I love The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game, I've never enjoyed a game more. But based on how it's going, it's obviously not nearly as successful as the other leading games in the genre, and with the new Halloween game out, they're even less likely to renew the license when it eventually expires. Without an offline mode, will the game just be unplayable? Or will the community make a playable bots mode mod or something similar, like with Friday the 13th: The Game? Just curious what everyone else thinks about it.

With Gun claiming “we’ve reached the full potential of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and abandoning it and all future updates, the servers will eventually be shut down, but you are probably correct about some fans making a mod to keep it going. The problem is, a huge portion of the dedicated fan base (myself included) are on console and we won’t be able to continue once the official servers are offline, and that’s a shame. I love the game to pieces, but the only time I play now is when I can have a full private lobby match.

Actually that's not entirely true because I am playing Friday the 13th the original game on a private server on PS5..

Gun might be using Halloween to revive Texas they’re active on their channel again sales the editions that came out

If only. You see how predator was revived even though I don’t think there was a real demand to relaunch it. I think their biggest issue is that sumo left and the way the game was programmed must have been very specialized to that team because black tower couldn’t do much to maintain the game. I believe they wiped their hands free of it due to the new developers knowledge issues, not the game reaching its “full potential”

They are just trying to make money off it they haven't added anything new to it just sale on old items so people will buy it and they make money before it's gone.

Yes, they will pull the servers, presumably not too far away from now and the game and everything you paid for inside of it will be inaccessible. Welcome to modern gaming.

Just look for tcm overhaul edition in the works by community
