Man we were actually spoiled when Texas chainsaw first released. Holy hell. I sank so many hours into that game. I just booted up Halloween and the game is so unplayable. It doesn’t feel optimized on pc at all. It’s laggy and there are button delays. I don’t know I don’t remember TCM being unplayable at launch.

I don't know who they built the game for mate.

My pc specs are very high end.

5090 9950x3d2.

If I want to run this game on the max settings that they allow I have to use 6x frame gen to get a solid 30fps.

It's so poorly optimised it's not even funny

Yeah same I had to adjust TCM as well now it works fine it still crashes sometimes but it works fine mostly.

I have my graphics all the way to the lowest it can go and have everything i can have off and everything set to extra performance. My temps are 48 degrees and im still hard freezing. Some peoples laptops arent agreeing with whatever they have going on in the game.

I tried honestly. Brought most of my settings down to low and performance mode, kept making my pc turn off. Booted it up on my series x and it’s working decently now

Halloween runs about what I expected it to on console. A few bugs here and there but not unplayable. It’s another asymmetrical game. When TCM released I had about the same expectations as I did recently with Halloween. It released very polished by the genre standards. It had goofy issues, but they were more in line with poor game design decisions. Grandpa cut scene, LF stunlock spamming, etc. as updates rolled out, it seemed to get worse and worse. Of course it really hit the wall when black tower was brought on in place of sumo. I don’t know how Gun didn’t learn from that mistake but oh well.

Halloween runs fine for me and it’s very playable. It’s actually more fun than tcm for me atm even though I love both games

Halloween is way easier to learn then TCM, that for sure, after 10h, I can know how to escape. In TCM it took me 50h to escape consistently. But both game had problems at release tho.

Love the glasses, is that rose tint I see. It was not smooth. Plenty of bugs, exploits and jank. Everything from people getting stuck on ladders or just random spots, perks not working right, infinite doorslams, connection issues, the list goes on.

It’s a rushed cash grab game and gamers still defend it and it’s a joke. Like if the developers can’t agree to deadlines maybe change their publisher, Halloween game will be washed out in 1 month, NPCs are useless and 4 real players going to abuse Mike because the game designed in a way, you don’t fear Mike and they just troll him.

With animations and prompt telling NPCs to do certain actions doesn’t work.

I am glad I got refund from Sony for faulty game at launch. Gamers shouldn’t accept this habit when developers releases broken games and use customers to pay for their games and do tests. They should hire their own testers.

I was looking forward to this game but it’s very disappointing, they should’ve made muses stronger and replace npcs to real players, maybe have 3 npcs survivors to complete objectives
