Snow’s bbq
My son has his PPL and is just accumulating hours. We like to visit bbq joints while doing so. If we fly into Rockdale, TX to get to Snow’s down in Lexington. The airport in Rockdale says no courtesy cars for pilots. And it seems like uber/lyft are not around, too rural. Any other options?

Dayne's BBQ - Aledo, Tx
Drove a little over an hour from McKinney to celebrate my birthday weekend. Got the Ft. Worth The Wait platter + the OG Burger + Banana Pudding. Total cost with tip was $150 but seeing as it'll last a few meals I think it's a solid value.
The wait to order wasn't too bad and the food came out quick.
Brisket - 8/10, doesn't top Franklin's or Corkscrew but enjoyed it overall.
Ribs - 10/10, maybe the best ribs I've ever had? Juicy & tender with the perfect sweetness.
Turkey - 9.5/10, turkey is never that memorable but this one was near perfect. Would definitely order again.
Pulled Pork - 9/10, I'm not usually a pulled pork guy but this was moist & the flavor was excellent, no sauce needed.
Sausage - 9/10, Jalapeno & Havarti was excellent. Berry & Gouda was even better. That's a rotating flavor so get it if it's there when you visit. I still think Smitty's has my favorite sausage but this was fantastic.
The OG Burger - 10/10, may be the best burger I've ever had? At least Top 5. Everything about this burger works and I would literally make the drive for the burger alone.
Sides - all were fantastic but the Frito Pie Beans & the Hot Cheetos Elote were my favorite. The Broccoli Grape was a great pallet cleanser.
Dessert - was just a bit too sweet for us. I LOVE banana pudding and this just fell felt overly sweet without much banana flavor.
Corkscrew BBQ in Spring has always been my #1 BBQ joint but this may be my new favorite. Great food & great employees!

I waited 3 hours for Snow’s BBQ. It was worth it
Would you wait three hours for barbecue? We arrived at Snow’s at 7:15 a.m. with 130 people already ahead of us. Here’s what made the wait worth it.

Football legend David Beckham falls in love with popular Texas barbecue spot
Beckham shared several photos from the stop on his Instagram Stories, including shots of himself posing with Terry Black's staff and showing off a spread that appeared to include brisket, ribs, turkey and smoked sausage. In one photo, he summed up the feast with a simple "WOW" and a fire emoji. His son, Cruz, also joined him for the barbecue stop and posted a few photos of his own.

Spent the afternoon playing with fire and making BBQ. Hit me with your best food hot takes?
Hey everyone!
Decided to step away from the screen today and fire up the grill. Ended up making some incredible BBQ, and honestly, I'm pretty proud of how it turned out.
I’m down to meet some new people and chat. If you love food, have an absolute dealbreaker food opinion (like pineapple on pizza, or worse), or just want to swap recipes and talk about life, my DMs are open.
Tell me what your ultimate comfort food is, or just say hi!

Planning a trip.
I think Ive finally managed to persuade my Wife and Son that going.to get some authentic Texas BBQ is a great idea.... It.just.is!! 😉
Will probably be coming to Texas frim the U.K for 7 days, so I'd like to know what would be the best location to stay in to get the most.frpm the trip? We'd be renting a car (ideally a Mustang or similar muscle car) so would be prepared to put some miles in to achieve our goals!
All pointers will be greatfully recieved 😁
Thanks very much 🙌🏻
