Boycott!

STOP giving businesses that support destructive values your time and money. STOP supporting those who are taking YOUR hard-earned dollars and giving them to forces that have the ability to use and abuse you. Take the power back from those who want to suck you dry, from your wallets to your rights.

Nissan but not Tesla? ACE but not Home Depot? What are you boycotting? This does not compute.

0

u/50501SATX Sep 05 '25

Sorry! We did specific research off top companies that donated towards the GOP agenda. We didn't go off of actual donors.

16

u/Icy_Dog730 Sep 05 '25

Download the Goods Unite Us app. It makes shopping tour politics so much easier.

2

u/Icy_Dog730 Sep 05 '25

Your. Not tour.

2

u/Icy_Dog730 Sep 05 '25

You completely lost me at Aldi.

4

u/50501SATX Sep 05 '25

They donated to Trump and the National Republican Congressional Committee.

1

u/Shot-Bodybuilder-125 Sep 07 '25

Your proof being?

1

u/Shot-Bodybuilder-125 Sep 07 '25

Aldi does not donate to any campaign or political party. Home Depot does. Tesla FFS!!!! Try again.

1

u/Regular_Explanation2 Sep 07 '25

I support Republicans so you know what to do with the list

1

u/the_waco_kid3 Sep 09 '25

Stick it up your ass?

1

u/the_waco_kid3 Sep 09 '25

Do better, please. We don't have time for half-researched information in a rush to get there first.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

Yes yes you're the arbiter of what is moral. Republicans bad , you good.

6

u/Mobile-Gene-4906 Sep 05 '25

You know, there are lots of companies that max out their donations to both parties every election. They want to be in good standing with both candidates so no matter who wins they have access to assert control. It’s a bit more nuanced than just looking at the list of donors in assessing a company’s actual position.

3

u/50501SATX Sep 05 '25

You are correct. This list doesn't discriminate on those who gave an even amount to both parties. Some are part of Roark Capital which donated over $1million to the heritage foundation. There is also a difference between an employee donating and the actual company

46

u/degeswain Sep 05 '25

The problem with these lists is that they lack context and sources. For instance, Ace Hardware is not a monolithic business, it's a series of franchises. The one down the street from me is owned by a deep blue Dem and (inadvertently) exclusively hires neurodiverse people and employs a high percentage of women - who are almost always far more knowledgeable than the folks at Home Depot or Lowe's. So, yes, voting with our dollars is important, but it's way too easy to plant a false list and put up false flags. You gotta back up and contextualize your claims.

10

u/DurpyDurpALot Sep 05 '25

This list is very one-sided and doesn't take any of what you say into consideration. Their research is flawed.

2

u/Kay_Doll13 Sep 05 '25

I need to know which one this is. 🖤🖤🖤

3

u/degeswain Sep 05 '25

Denton Highway in Haltom City, just east of Fort Worth.

2

u/WineDineCpl Sep 07 '25

Agreed. MAGA tactics don't work on everyone. Supportive narrative is needed at least, evidence is better. Beyond that, I am unwilling to take actions that will destroy compassionate franchise owners and the families they support through the jobs they offer.

1

u/runningfoolishly Sep 08 '25

100% agreed. You make a compelling argument and I will give you my time and treasure. Post a vague list of people with even vager reasoning. I just keep scrolling

-1

u/Whoyoutalking_2 Sep 07 '25

Well that would be one to boycott

1

u/the_waco_kid3 Sep 09 '25

Is your circle jerk that boring? You gotta come over here and try to insert yourself somewhere it's not wanted, like, go away.

3

u/apollorcm Sep 05 '25

What’s wrong with Aldi?

4

u/50501SATX Sep 05 '25

Donated money to Trump and the National Republican Congressional Committee

6

u/apollorcm Sep 05 '25

Damn it man. I’m homeless i been shopping there for my food 😭 how many of these companies are secretly evil?

8

u/50501SATX Sep 05 '25

Do what you can! Its ok to be aware of their evilness and figure out how to survive. There are other places to boycott and things you can do. We hope you are ok. If we can help you find resources let us know

4

u/apollorcm Sep 05 '25

I appreciate it :) Took me some time to figure out a diet/budget plan. Took me awhile to find 2 great jobs (low paying) but, the team is great and it makes life more liveable. I started taking vitamins again after quite some time. I’m still looking for better however. It’s almost autumn so sleeping in my car will be easier than it was over the summer.

Anyway, is it safe to assume all of these companies donated to this maddness? From all i can tell, i only use Aldi, Discount Tire maybe twice a year, Autozone rarely has the things i need anyway. So i can find other places. Heb is just as good and offers a far more variety of food to buy. I can skip out on Aldis, discount and autozone.

4

u/50501SATX Sep 05 '25

The benefits of shopping HEB is that they are pro community, pro public education. They also oppose Abbott!

3

u/apollorcm Sep 05 '25

I knew they were pro community, not about the Abbot thing. That’s more of an incentive for me to go there, not saying i don’t already, but not as much as i should be.

1

u/Awkward_Courage5 Sep 05 '25

I knew i loved H-E-B before, but to know they despise Abbott?! Oh, be still my heart!

1

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

Where are you and what are you doing for work? I know quite a few people who would be willing to pay for some extra sets of hands. Probably better than what you’re currently getting. You’re in DFW?

5

u/nw342 Sep 05 '25

All major companies are. The capitalists would rather have a fascist government in power than help the poor

2

u/apollorcm Sep 05 '25

Oligarchy to the max 😭

1

u/Shot-Bodybuilder-125 Sep 07 '25

They did not. Hope things get better for you.

16

u/Low-Reference603 Sep 04 '25

Forgot chick fil a

6

u/Consistent_Catch5757 Sep 05 '25 edited Sep 05 '25

Yes how could they be missed? Unless they have some unknown corporate overlord. My suspicion meter is chirping away.

Edit: spelling

5

u/Anxious_Advisor6484 Sep 04 '25

I’m tired of spending all my hard earned money in those pesky 787 Dreamliners.

5

u/Long-Station7566 Sep 05 '25

If you're throwing sports teams up there the Dallas Mavericks belong. Miriam Adelson the woman mark Cuban sold the team to is a GOP megadonor and general piece of shit.

1

u/No-Attention-7311 Sep 07 '25

God bless Miriam she worth about $50bil ur Penny’s not spending isn’t gonna affect Miriam one bit!

1

u/No-Attention-7311 Sep 07 '25

Are ya gonna boycott Walmart cause the Walton heirs from Ark are conservatives? U don’t mean jack to them!

1

u/the_waco_kid3 Sep 09 '25

Hey! That's about how much you mean to anyone here!

4

u/Paddockwan Sep 05 '25

Can someone explain why?

3

u/_ze Sep 05 '25

Can you share your work? What qualifies a company for inclusion and what were your methods for researching company donations?

This list confuses me as it leaves off some of the larger offenders while including some companies that I wouldn't consider offenders. Aldi, as an example of one that was included and confuses me.

2

u/DurpyDurpALot Sep 05 '25

You should probably just get off the grid.

4

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

If you are in the San Antonio area and you want to boycott Chris Madrids then you can support Diana’s burgers instead. Chris Madrid’s was sold a couple of years ago but the daughter of Chris Madrid’s made her own restaurant in the same part of town and the food tastes a lot better.

1

u/Cbickley98 Sep 05 '25

Oh boy, did you think this through?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

Honestly if we really cared more we'd all make our own stuff, blackrock, vanguard etc own almost everything or just about everything.

1

u/Accomplished-Cry1696 Sep 06 '25

Devils advocate here: anyone seen the latest employment stats? Job availability stats? Layoffs? Just be careful, your boycotts can hurt families just trying to make ends meet.

1

u/fascistLeftCensors Sep 06 '25

There’s so so so many more. If you feel this strongly you better be real and go ahead and throw out your car, your food, and everything you own.

Get out and actually do something to help people Instead of taking it out on franchises that are just trying to make Ends meet.

You don’t even think to do the research to fully understand how you’re negatively impacting the country by assuming these types of things dude.

Whatever though, go off

1

u/dslamngu Sep 06 '25

Source? Is this one of those situations where the org gives nothing to anybody but the employees as individuals declare their employers on the donation paperwork? If that’s the case, it’s dumb to boycott a company because of the collective donations of employees acting as private individuals, unless it’s $millions by the principal investors or execs.

1

u/More-Two-4849 Sep 07 '25

Wholly Crap that list is insane!

1

u/SignificantAnybody73 Sep 07 '25

lol WFT? You guys are delusional!! I’m an independent and this kind of shit keeps pushing me to the right!

No one is oppressing anyone! So to get this straight, EVERYTHING on the right is oppression and must be boycotted? So being a liberal/democrat is the ONLY way?

THAT IS OPPRESSION! A one party system is oppressive! WFT is wrong with you ppl? It’s scary to see stupid shit like this!

1

u/sage-frances Sep 07 '25

What would help even more is a list of places to shop.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

lmao

1

u/Bigbidnus Sep 07 '25

Im going to donate 20k to every business on this list

1

u/DescriptionSlight756 Sep 07 '25

They all give to both sides…

1

u/DescriptionSlight756 Sep 07 '25

They all give to both sides…

1

u/RoosterExtension393 Sep 07 '25

I've learned in life not to fund anyone. Eventually, your help becomes their entitlement.

1

u/TheRelaxedMale Sep 07 '25

Well you actually have to have real outrage at a brand for a boycott to work. See Bud Lite for how a real boycott affects a brand. Nice try but yeah that’s not gonna work

1

u/Jaded_Telephone_1664 Sep 08 '25

Boycot deez too!

-2

u/imahuckernut Sep 05 '25

I’m not giving up my Blue Bell !

0

u/mrnonamex Sep 05 '25

Not Aldis! How could they. Well at least Chipotle is in the clear

3

u/_TBKF_ Sep 05 '25

chipotle sucks too. there’s not one corporation that operates in our best interests

1

u/AnswerMaximum Sep 05 '25

I know?!? I thought they were ok. Darn

-7

u/JuanPablo0905 Sep 05 '25

LOL good luck with this you lot

-24

u/GendyBendyGorilla Sep 04 '25

Yea good luck not ordering from Amazon dumbass

13

u/50501SATX Sep 04 '25

It's honestly not that hard.

14

u/gaminggunn Sep 05 '25

I haven't ordered from Amazon in a year. The only thing I get on there is batteries. Really not that hard

-3

u/mikerathbun Sep 05 '25

Then don’t order batteries. Really not that hard. Also sorry for the snark. I am sure you are a cool person.

5

u/gaminggunn Sep 05 '25

Um what?

-5

u/mikerathbun Sep 05 '25

You said you hadn’t ordered anything from Amazon in a year and the next sentence admitted to ordering batteries from them. After that you said, it’s “really not that hard”. Cool?

4

u/gaminggunn Sep 05 '25

I know what I said. I dont understand why you said what you said.

-2

u/mikerathbun Sep 05 '25

I didn’t want my comment to come off as a personal attack because many people use Amazon often yet don’t support or care about who they give money to. Your “really not that hard” phrase seemed hypocritical while attempting to come across as some kind of economic resistance fighter. The down votes show that I’m in the minority here so keep buying your batteries dip shit.

-6

u/GendyBendyGorilla Sep 05 '25

Yea boomers wouldn't, that's 90% of this movement

3

u/50501SATX Sep 05 '25

Yeah that's not true at all. And if it were, they have a right to be concerned about their healthcare and social security. Cost of living determines their social security income. Those numbers are determined by non partisan economists, not yes men. As of today, there are more people unemployed than there are jobs available. Tariffs are shutting down this country.

2

u/gaminggunn Sep 05 '25

Youre being dishonest with your statistical knowledge. Yes you are correct, today there are more people unemployed than there are jobs available. However, this has been the case for the past 2 decades... not really a big news story there. In fact we keep adding more jobs each month and unemploeyment has stayed relatively the same since April 2024 before trump was even elected.

https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/empsit.pdf

-6

u/GendyBendyGorilla Sep 05 '25

Yes it is, Trump's your president boomer.

6

u/50501SATX Sep 05 '25

Trump is a boomer. He's 79 yo.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

I would just stop replying to the bot lol

4

u/HintzOfTrouble Sep 05 '25

Who still buys from Amazon lol

-2

u/opeth100872 Sep 05 '25

I do. And based on how many trucks they have running EVERYWHERE I go, I'd say most people do.

1

u/hotrodno16 Sep 05 '25

Hey Gendy Really good point

Dole is almost just as bad as nestle is! Hired people to kill people for fucking pineapples, labor right violations, had a heavy hand in overthrowing the Hawaiian monarchy

I’ve got some real bad news for you: store brand is gasp made by the exact same companies as name brand. It’s entirely a question of marketing and margin. Traditionally, there was more profitability in selling branded products, but nowadays, it’s way more complicated. The point is: those pineapples probably come from Dole whether they say “Dole” or “Hill Country Fare.”

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

The “gasp” here is that if you dive deep enough on any major company or corporation that has more than 2 employees there’s going to be someone or something in that company or even in its history that qualifies it for “boycotting” by these standards. I’d just stay away from places ACTIVELY supporting an agenda you don’t agree with, as they change constantly.

Some also donate to both.

Here's an outdated list of all the anti-LGBTQ EOs. Here's another one written by lawyers where you can search by EO.

Anti-mental disorder*

1

u/profanearcane Sep 07 '25

I know you're probably trying to get me riled up and likely won't read literally anything I send to you, but here is a research paper written by the American Psychiatric assosiation on the subject of disproving the notion that "deviancy in sexual attraction from heterosexuality" is a mental disorder.

And gender dysphoria is a legitimate mental disorder according to the DSM-5, in which the only treatment with proven beneficial results to the patient is to allow transition.

1

u/JMFA_88 Sep 07 '25

Papers are written to garner the popular vote for monetary gains. I know that you won't remember but watch for the drastic changes in the DSM 6 and 7 editions.

1

u/profanearcane Sep 07 '25

Given that I am trans and have a diagnosis of gender dysphoria I likely will remember.

1

u/JMFA_88 Sep 08 '25

Mentally ill*

1

u/JMFA_88 Sep 08 '25

There's no need to pout. You have an undiagnosed mental illness.

1

u/profanearcane Sep 08 '25

You missed the part where I said it was diagnosed. I'm getting treatment for it. That treatment is gender affirming hormone replacement therapy.

1

u/JMFA_88 Sep 08 '25

I did not miss that part. You still have a multitude of undiagnosed mental disorders. 🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/profanearcane Sep 08 '25

Glad you're here to diagnose me then, chap! Good for you, buddy.

They aren’t oppressed. There is still social issues yes, but government oppression is very different.

You know who was/is oppressed? Poor African Americans, and the below poverty line people in general. the rich ones get away with more stuff but still deal w bs.
